Please be brutally honest.......

If that were the worst thing anybody ever did, I'd be thrilled.
Even I, with my unfailing sense of morality concerning other people's actions, can't get excited about this one. So I guess it's OK. I think the mugs ought to be good for 14 days even if you went to the moon and back in between.

It's the people who bring their mugs back from 2003 that ought to be drenched in Coke (w/sugar) and tied to an anthill.

Yep,she's headed to jail just like my son. :rotfl:

It's funny b/c my poor DD was so lost. She does have a slight audio dyslexia however this year she is doing wonderfully, it turned out to be the best thing for her. She went from literally crying everyday before school to jumping for joy about going. So I could care less what anyone says :thumbsup2

Oh please, it's a mug. :rolleyes1

I think the dis boards obsess more about this issue than Disney does. If they were so worried about it, why wouldn't they do the same "mug policy" that they have at the water parks, where they put a bar code sticker on it that is date-stamped? If you want to bring your mug back on your next trip, you can, but you have to pay for another sticker so it will work on the machines. (At least I think it's still that way...it was last year when we went.)

And yes, I'm buying a new mug in a few weeks. DH has been drinking coffee out of it and that just really does not go well with dietCoke. :goodvibes But I'm really not going to spend one minute wondering if the person next to me has used their mug on more than one trip.

It costs less than 3 cents to make a litre of coke or any other refillable drink. I really don't think Disney are going to make any kind of loss on these refillable mugs even if they were refillable for life. Since it's such a short gap, at the same resort, I'd do it this time. Out of principle, if the trips were more than a couple of weeks apart, I'd buy a new one but it's not because I feel like Disney are "missing out" on any of my money, but because rules apply to everyone.

I would consider it to be one trip and would definitely not go out and spend more money on mugs. Any one who sees a problem with what you want to do is just being plain silly and needs to focus on something of real importance-like pool hopping :rotfl2:.

to be brutally honest I wouldn't have even considered purchasing new mugs to me it's the same vacation!!!! Have a great time!!!

My last trip to WDW was just in January, and we bought the mugs. We are going back in Sept to the same resort, and at first, I was all set to buy new mugs. However, after seeing how some people over react to such a degree over people reusing the mugs, I figured I'd give folks something to talk about (since some people really need that) and will make a point of bringing my old mug back in Sept. Honestly, as so many people have said all ready. You'd be out of your mind to even consider buying a new mug on the second leg of your trip.

Cheers!

Good grief, if you're taking a bit in between for a 5 day cruise and then coming BACK to Pop Century, then who cares? I can't imagine buying another set of mugs for the same trip.

Even though I'm not Catholic, let's pretend this is confession!!! We went back to a different resort and used our mugs :stir: . CMs would walk by us, with the mugs in our hands, and say "good morning". Like someone else said, if disney really wanted to enforce this they would. I guess I'll wait for someone to grab the ropes, ants and sugar!!

We are doing the same thing. 4 nights at Pop then a Disney Cruise then back to Pop for 4 more nights. I consider it all 1 trip and will buy mugs during the first 4 nights and use them when we return for the last 4 nights.

We are going to stay at Pop Century from August 10 until the 13th, leave for a non-Disney cruise and then return to P.C. from August 18th thru the 21st. We plan to buy the refillable mugs and reuse them on our second trip. Since we'll be staying such a short time each visit, will this really be so bad?
Yes, it will. You must leave one person from your party AT Pop Century while the rest of you go on the cruise so that your PC reservation is not interrupted. As a single, continuous stay your refillable mugs will be valid the entire time. It would be helpful if the martyr filled a different mug each day so that no mug feels alienated. ;) :teeth:

LOL I wish you were on the thread where I got flamed for pre- boarding a SW flight with my DD who is very petitie but over 4
Is that the child who is three YEARS over the age four and younger Southwest Airlines preboard cap?

If the CM's at AKL foodcourt aren't going to stop the folks using the ASSo mugs, then I just don't think they care. Every place I've stayed I've seen mugs being used from other resorts. I usually can't find the lids or I might even take mine back

We will be taking our mugs from last year back with us this year. We are staying at the same resort so i dont think there's anything wrong with it.

Cheapo DH wanted to know why we weren't borrowing the mugs from a friend who stayed at WL in January for our trip in April! We did a split stay and I bought one mug from each resort. Even though that meant a mug at CBR for 3 days. I didn't dare risk someone coming up to me at Roaring Forks while I filled a CBR mug! And the mugs are the only souvenirs I bought myself from our trip. I use one of them every day.

I would reuse my mug - look at it this way. Some people might buy a refilliable mug and refill say 50 times in one trip. I might buy one and only use it 20 times, why shouldn't I take it back next trip and use it another 20 times. If Disney were losing money on it, they wouldn't do it. Take the mug with you and have a great trip.

I will add though that I personally wouldn't be brave enough to use mugs from one resort at another - although if anyone is, I won't complain.

I think we should start a "Disney confessional"-no flaming thread. That way, we can all post about the mugs we've reused, the pools we've hopped, the 4 person rooms we've stayed in with 12 people, etc, etc.... :lmao: It would be very cathartic.
