Please answer....How late is late for checking out of the resort?

We are booking our trip today!!!!!!!!!!!

I am trying to select a flight home (we usually fly out around 12noon) but because we are leaving on a Friday this time I was thinking about a 7pm flight.

How late can you check out?

Will they hold your luggage if you go off into the parks?

If you check out of the resort can you still get into the parks?

Normal checkout is 11 am. Late checkout (if you can get it since it's not always available) is 1:00 pm.

Yes they will.

If you check out of the resort can you still get into the parks?
I'm assuming that you are asking this because you are going to have UPH passes since other tickets can be used any day. The answer is yes. UPH's are good through midnight of the day you check out. Checking out of your resort does not end your ability to enter the parks that day on a UPH.

Check with the front desk on holding your luggage. Most resorts will do this for you.

I have found that flying late on a Friday is not a good idea. Many business travelers are returning home. If you have to fly on a Friday fly early in the day.

11am is the offical check out time. You can check to see if a late check out of 1pm is avaiable but there are only a limited number of rooms this is offered on and it also depends on how full the resort is. My understanding is that the fuller the resort the less rooms they offer late checkout on.

Yes. When you checkout just have Bell Services store your bags.

Yes. Whether or not you can get into a park depends on what type of park tickets you bought not on your room reservation.

Briar Rose - we had a late flight (9 p.m.) on our last trip. We stayed at the Beach Club Villas. We had a leisurely breakfast, packed up our stuff and put it in our car, went to Animal Kingdom until about 4:30, went back to Beach club and used the changing rooms next to the pool and then went swimming for a while. After a quick trip to the Boardwalk for dinner and snacks we headed to the airport. It worked great for us! Have fun.

Should you go ahead and request a late check-out when you check-in or do you have to wait until the day before or the day of your check-out?

You can mention it when you check in but usually they will tell you to call down to the front desk the night before or morning you're checking out (I know this doesn't give you much time for planning), but they usually don't know if they can extend your check out til the day before or day of.

Late checkout is not necessarily 1 p.m. I've never been turned down when I've asked for late checkout, but I only got until noon this year. I also have always asked the night before.

Don't bet on late check out. I was switching from one GF room to another (regular lagoon view room to honeymoon room) on my wedding day and they still wouldn't give me late check out. If the concierge didn't step in and help I would have been sitting in the lobby of the GF waiting for 2:00 when I could go to the dressing room and start getting ready. I only asked for the room until 1:00 because that is traditional late check out. They were kind enough to offer to put my wedding dress in storage for me so I didn't have to carry it around with me. How nice.

If you don't mind being without a place to relax, just plan on checking out at 11am and storing your luggage.

The on site DVC resorts (OKW, BWV, VWL & BCV) do not offer late check out at all.
