It seems like the sort of place that should be easy to walk into, but I almost never eat in the MK, so I could be wrong. This would be on Monday, Dec 1, around 7pm, if that matters.

Also, is it halfway decent? We're just looking for a sandwich.

I like the Plaza a lot. It's very good for sandwiches and ice cream.

I do walk ins there, but for lunch not dinner. I think I would at least keep trying to get one for dinner, and if you can't, then try doing a walk in. It's a small restaurant so it fills up quickly, but if you can get a window seat, you can't beat the view.

When we ate there a month ago and they were turning people(walk ups) away for dinner. We had a ADR for 4:30 and waited 25 minutes, it was that busy. The food was great.

We ate lunch at the Plaza House last week and they were turning people away who didn't have ADR's. We had an ADR at 1pm and were seated at 1:30. The place was packed!

btw: The food was yummy! I had a strawberry chicken salad and my wife had the Reuben with homemade potato chips. Very very good.

So I called and they don't have anything for the day I want at the time I need, which is lamentable. I'm going to keep trying, as I always seem to get what I want eventually. Besides trying to walk in, do you have any suggestions for backup plans? We're looking for a decent, inexpensive, light dinner at the MK (we're having lunch at Chefs de France that day, so clearly we won't be up for a big meal.)

I can't say enough about Columbia Harbour House, just past the Haunted House in Liberty Square. Great Food and different than the usual burger/chicken menu! there is an entire second floor that stays pretty empty to spread out and enjoy some relaxing downtime. Check out the menu on allearsnet.com:goodvibes We ate there on our Keys to the Kingdom Tour one year and it was just marvelous.

I want to 2nd Columbia Harbour House as a great place to eat. It's not a table service, but the food is really good. I had a great hummus sandwich and my wife had fish-n-chips. Both were quite tasty.

There's also Liberty Tree Tavern at MK that is a table service. They have a great salad and the crab cakes are surprisingly yummy.
