Does anyone know if Plaza Inn gets long waits for dinner? What would be a good time to get there?

Someone recently reported long waits for dinner on nights there are fireworks (Fri-Sun) as Plaza is offering a fireworks dining package that takes up a lot of the seating.

That was me. Yeah, it was horrible.

If you will be there on a fireworks night, go at lunchtime instead. Dinner was a complete cluster. We waited over 30 minutes outside in line and had a heck of a time finding a table.

On a random weeknight, this is not a problem and there haven't been lines really at all since the parks reopened last year.

Did you happen to eat there on your summer trip? Wondering what the experience is like there at dinner since Fireworks happen nightly in the summer.

I think the issue the PP reported was the reserved fireworks viewing area for the dining package meaning a huge area of the seating was blocked off for that. They did not have that offering during the summer (other than I believe they did it on the 4th of July- but it wasn't a regular thing).

Ok...thanks for the confirmation on that.

That is correct.

We eat there all the time. Been there at least 10 times over the last year. This time a week ago on a Saturday was a HORRENDOUS experience, due to that viewing party event that blocked off literally half of the available tables, all of which were still empty.

What is it like on a normal night with no fireworks?

Right now, in October? Probably chaos.

I have not had any issues at dinner time prior to my visit on Oct 1. I haven't been since. I kind of avoid October visits in general.
