Plaza Inn Birthday celebration

I am having a difficult time finding recent information on this. We are looking for something different for my DD5 as she celebrates her 6th birthday on our Aug. trip! We have not tried this yet. If you have done this...can you share your opinion? What was the cost? Was it worth it? I have read that Mickey and Minnie only stop in for a moment, and that the children get to decorate a small cake. This is not a problem because DD5 will do plenty of visits with the characters throughout the park. What was your experience? TIA

Thanks for the response! I showed my DD5 the pictures from the party and she is excited about it, so we will do it! Do we pre-purchase the tickets? Or purchase them the day of the party?

You need to make a reservation and then you pay the day of. You call the regular dining reservation number. As you saw there are a lot of mixed feelings about the party but my family loved it.

my son did this and everyone decorates a very personalized cake (and everyone is the winner) and then at the end mickey and minnie come out to take pictures and stuff, etc.

I played the youtube video for my DD5 and she seemed very excited so we will give it a try! I think the mickey birthday hats are too cute!

My two young daughters and I took my Mom to the party to celebrate her 78th birthday LOL! We all really liked it. Decorating the little cakes is pretty fun and Minnie and Mickey TOTALLY doted on my Mom when they were doing their dancing -- they did sort of a conga line type of dance around the party area, etc. We have very cute, sweet pictures of this event.

And! We've kept the party hats and the special drink glasses from the party and bring those out at home to use on our birthdays each year.

I think the price is worth it because it's a special event that will create a lasting memory for your family and you will capture many CUTE pictures. Isn't that what life is all about???
