We decided to go ahead and go in December instead of January to DisneyWorld so we can see all of the Christmas decorations. We are thinking about getting the Disney Platinum package. I have been looking for reviews online of this package but haven't found any. Has anybody ever done the Platinum Package? I am wondering if it is worth it to do this package instead of the premium package.

There was a long thread on the Discounts board (sub-board to this one) about using the Platinum and Premium plans for one-night stays and getting the most out of that experience. Disney implemented a 3-night minimum stay requirement in 2012 for the Premium and Platinum plans, so the thread hasn't had any updates in awhile. However, there is a lot of good information there. The thread can be found at:

We did the Premium Plan for one night in November (had to try it while we could do the one-night stay!) and we really enjoyed it. We did the Epcot Segway tour, the Keys to the Kingdom tour, La Nouba, meals at CRT, Le Cellier, and did the Candlelight Processional package at Les Chefs de France). It was awesome!

We did the Platinum plan for one night for our anniversary and had a great time! We did it instead of the Premium plan because we would have done a spa service anyway (not included with premium) and we wanted to have dinner at Victoria and Albert's (also not included with the premium plan)
We stayed concierge level at the Grand Floridian and really enjoyed our trip. I would go through and make a list of what you would like to do and then run the numbers to see what makes sense financially.

We did it for a week, staying at the GF RPC. I've been to WDW for 22 vacations and the Platinum Plan vacation was the most exhausting one out of all of them. Between running off to scheduled extras or trying to squeeze in all of those meals, we were "done" on about Day 4 and started skipping things just so that we could enjoy being on vacation.

I would not combine it with a club level stay. I go to the spa and my husband golfs on every vacation and we try to dine at V&A every time we go. But I certainly can't use the 3 meals a day and I can book one tour per vacation and still come out money ahead by not doing a rack rate Platinum Plan package.
