We are just off the DVC Member Cruise, and except for enjoying a delicious dinner at Palo, we never got around to claiming other Platinum level gifts, so the chocolate truffles were delivered to our cabin yesterday. I just enjoyed the sea salt caramel, and it was so good!

If we had time to enjoy it and picked the wine, can you bring it to dinner? Is it delivered opened?

Happy to see you were able to get the truffles. Someone posted recently that they were not available on their cruise.

From what I remember the other platinum gift was Champagne. With the change of alcohol policy I'm not sure if they would charge a corkage fee or not.

This is from their webpage:
Guests wishing to consume wine or champagne that they have brought on board in one of the dining rooms will be charged a corking fee of $25.00 per bottle

Because it was not brought on board??

we were on the Magic in July (Northern Europe) and the chocolates were NOT an option - and that would have been our choice.

We don't drink much - and not wine or champange drinkers

so the only option was a fresh fruit bowl -- And I can get that for free up on deck 9!!! whoop whoop

I do like my food - but more "free food" on a cruise is not special in any way.

If the wine/champagne is provided by DCL, there is no corkage fee. They keep track of who has received the perk (as platinum).

Yes, sparkling wine is an option, and I think we will get it the next time. That is in December!

We asked if our bottle could be delivered to Palo for our dinner there, they said no problem and as soon as we walked in the Palo Manager said we have your champagne waiting for you.

We just sailed on our first platinum sailing on the Baltic cruise. We had our bottle of sparkling wine (it was prosecco) served to us at our Palo dinner with no corkage fee. Our DD(15) who is also platinum was booked in my MIL's stateroom and they had their bottle delivered to the room. They ended up bringing it to the MDR on another night. There was some confusion with our assistant server who I think was relatively new and he told us there would be a corkage fee. I politely let him know that it was our MIL's platinum gift that was provided by the ship and after he checked with the head server it was opened for us with no corkage fee.
