Platinum benefits-- sparkling wine?

What is the sparkling wine for platinum? A nice prosecco or rose or what? (Brand?) Thanks!
 
I think we had a prosecco last time. I couldn't tell you the brand (I couldn't tell you the brand of wine I had yesterday :P). It was definitely not a rose but that's about all I can say. It was a few years ago but I think they also change it regularly depending on what they have. I imagine it's whatever is within a certain price range.
 

They usually give the cheap stuff but when we were on the Fantasy in September they gave us a bottle of Santa Margherita sparkling, $25 bucks at Target, so pretty decent! And it was delicious!

Thanks for the replies... I was curious what other people's experience had been-- we're just off the Magic on our first cruise as platinum and got a bottle of Andre' sparkling wine. It was terrible, even for a $5 or $6 bottle of wine. I suppose I could have taken it down to guest services at the time, but it was 'free' (LOL-- or 10x DCL cruise fares). We do like the platinum cooler bag and we had a lovely cruise. I just wondered what other choices for the sparkling wine might have been from other people's experience-- the La Marca prosecco a previous poster mentioned would have been much better.
 
When/how do you make this request?
You will get a message in the DCL app when onboard to call room service to make your choice of platinum gift. I think you dial 0 on the room phone and then press 1 for room service from the menu. Once you order make sure you plan to stay in the room as it will be delivered in about 20-30 minutes. Might as well order some Mickey bars too 😊

We didn’t get a message at all so third day called guest services and yes they said just call room service.

We didn’t stay in the room though it was waiting in a huge ice bucket with glasses when we got back. They said it would take an hour .

They used to leave a message or call asking what you want.

We didn't get a call last week on the Fantasy either. We did have a note in our stateroom at check-in asking us to call with our preference of sparkling wine, chocolates, or fruit. Due to family disagreement over which to order, I delayed making the call. On day 5, a box of chocolates appeared in our room.
 
We never wait for a letter now. We just call or stop by guest services and order ours the first or second day. We never get a letter anymore.
