Platinum and Premium Diners

Are there any of you other there headed to the world this summer or fall? I'd love to have you share your meal and activity plans. And we won't complain about how 3 meals a day are too much food or how we'll be too busy eating to enjoy our time in the parks.

I'm still trying to fill in some time for the last 3 days of our trip in Oct (after the rest of the family goes home).

I hope there are some of you out there, it seems we are a rarity on these boards.

For the first 7 days DH and I are traveling with my mom, brother and DH’s parents. The in-laws are staying at AKL on Premium and the rest of us will be at CR on Platinum

Another Plantinum Package

We (Husband, Myself and DD (2)) will be heading to Wilderness Lodge on the Plantinum Package Aug. 9- 15

Super excited and trying to fly someone else in with us so we can take more advantage of the activities.

Sounds like you've got a great plan there. And your mention of the carriage rides reminds me to check that I requested that from our planner too (I think that only books 90 days out).

Hopefully you'll be able to get someone to join so you and your hubby can do some more tours.

I'm still debating on whether to change our Brown Derby lunch to Sci Fi - neither of us has eaten at Sci Fi but I've enjoyed BD for dinner before. I'm just not sure DH will find something he likes on the menu at BD other than just a plain steak. Sci Fi might have a few more options he'd like, but BD just seems so elegant inside.

I just have to say: I'm so jealous! I considered this for our next trip (Christmas) but with so few days (5) and 3 of our guests (our christmas gift to my parents and brother) not having been to the World in 10 years I don't think we will have the time for the extra activities, so its not worth it (need all the park time we can get).

I'm looking forward to trying one of these plans in 2009 when its just the hubby and me! I'm thinking Halloween as our next holiday?

I finally got in contact with the itenary planner today. Hoping they can help me get some ADR's that I was unable to get.

The only other tour I am interested in is the dolphin.

We have never been to DW before. So it should be fun. We live right next to DL so we want to take advantage of the resort over the parks as MK looks very similar to DL

Let me tell you, you all are a rarity not only on here but also in WDW! I work at a deluxe and I yesterday I checked in a huge grand gathering of premium plan guests and my managers who had been there 3-5 years each had never checked on in before! They were considered VIPs and treated like total royalty. Enjoy it!

Lisa - I hope you get to try out the plan next year. Maybe you'll get some ideas for activities from this thread.

Rella - Dolphins is depth is an amazing tour. We did it for the first time last year and I can't wait to do it again. Being in the water with the dolphins was wonderful.

Fall08 - I hear ya. We've gotten misinformation from the checkin more times than I care to remember when checking in on Premium or the old Gold Package. They even gave us the basic DDP brochure once. Thankfully we had done it before and knew that we got more than 1 TS a day lol. We've also noticed cashiers at CS locations seen to have some trouble figuring it out as well - we often get told we don't have any CS credits.

I swear he is going to be annoyed with me by the time my trip comes.
My niece is now flying in a couple days in, so we will be able to take full advantage of some of the activities

Now I am super excited!

We've got Stephanie over at the CR/GF IPO office. She was also our planner for our trip last year and is just wonderful. Last trip DH ended up in the hospital with kidney stones and she was so helpful in getting our ADRs and activites changed around. And this year she is nice enough to book whatever we need separately for my in-laws who aren't on platinum, since the rest of us are.
