DH and I fell in love with Manta, so we bought a Platinum Passport. I like the preferred parking etc. but mostly I'm interested in the re-ride option. Anyone have this pass and know how it works? Do you have to get off, or do you just stay on again? Do the ride operators know what you're talking about when you flash it? Any info is appreciated since we're probably going to use it for the first time on Sat.

I have one and love it...the re-ride option is great, most of the time when you coming back in to the station just hold it up and you stay right where you are at on the ride; however it is not avaliable at manta at the moment, it will be come mid june/early july.

I asked today when I bought it to make sure it was good on Manta already and they said yes so I'm gonna be a really unhappy camper if they gave me bad info. Otherwise I would have waited to buy it...that's why I made sure to ask beforehand.

I upgraded my silver passport to platinum about 6 years ago when I went to visit Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. You can stay in your seat and show your pass to the attendant,we usually get off the ride show the passes to the attendant and look for empty seats, always look for front row first. It's amazing how frequently you grab a front row ride on the reride.

We've been told enough times not to get off of the ride on coasters that we don't anymore. Usually I will stand in place tho and wave over the closest attendant to show the passes. Sheikra is special, they usually ask you to stand and move to the end of the row you are in. It's a great benefit despite the untruths about Manta so far.

our passes expire feb 1, 2010. I was thinking of upgrading to platinum and lock in this years rates for the next two years. We conned our best friend into getting a sea world ticket and he got the platinum one. So now we keep talking about taking road trips to visit some of the other parks. But I do like the preferred parking...

Has anyone successfully used this at BG Williamsburg? I have asked a couple of employees there including one at the passport center and none of them knew anything about it. They said they must not offer it there since they had never even heard of it offered at the other parks.

I don't think they have this feature at the Williamsburg park. We've asked a few times here and no one had ever heard of it.

Oh yeah, that parking totally rocks! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Between Platinum at SeaWorld, Premiere at Universal (free valet), and a AAA parking pass at WDW, I'm spoiled rotten with parking.

The passes they sell here say we can use it there. I'll be pissed if they won't let me in when I get there... eventually.

The Platinum passes do allow entrance at Williamsburg Busch Gardens and Water Country USA, but I don't think we have any special privleges when it comes to skipping the line or riding twice without getting off. I am a Virginia Platinum holder, and unless it's a new thing we don't have it here.:confused3
I am excited about my FL trip now, though. Sounds like a great feature!:yay:

I am so happy to find this thread, I never know this option ..

I am a platimum holder with Williamsburg as the base, can I use the re-ride option in FL?
In addition, I saw someone mention skip the line, is it possible anywhere in FL?

thanks for the tips!!

No line skipping unless you buy QuickQueue. But you conceivably combined that with your Platinum re-ride privilege and get in some really good ride time.

Yes, Williamsburg Plat passes do get the re-ride option at both Sea World and BG-Tampa. You also get to sit in the reserved seat section at the shows.

We are platinum pass holders at Williamsburg and there is no re-ride option at that park that we know of. The Platinum pass there used to get you into the park 30 minutes early and at that time the Loch Ness Monster was open and you could ride it all you wanted before anyone else got in the park. But it now seems that perk is also gone.....No more early entry. :sad2:

SeaWorld has an early opening thing going with Manta right now, but it's an hour early. It runs till June 30 if you'll be here before then. I don't know about weekends, but weekday mornings are relatively uncrowded for the passholder rides.

Lets seperate passports in to 2 different types.

Florida Parks & Non Florida Parks.

The Florida Platinum passes allow re-rides, special show seating and preferred parking @ BGT, SWO & Aquatica. Those perks are not part of the terms of any Non Florida park passport.

Similarly, your 'home' park might have beni's that are specific to that park. Preferred parking, etc. Those should not be expected unless you have a passport for that 'home' park.

Platinum passports for the Non-Florida parks cost a bit less then they do if you purchase them in Florida.

Passport prices for 2years.
Florida Passport $429
BGW Passport $299
Seaworld SD $249
Seaworld TX $199
Sesame Place (Doesn't offer a 2year option)

You are 'using' something you really shouldn't get. They may or may not enforce it. Don't be mad if they start.
