Plat. Pack. discount deal

That was me :)

I've actually done the deluxe (now called premium) package twice.

The first time we were disneyworld newbies and didn't use it to it's best advantage.

We did it again last year and knew exactly what we had to do and how to schedule it. We did tours every day, went fishing, saw Cirque, etc.

To make the most of your time you need to schedule your meals to be in or near the park you will be in for your tours and/or after dinner. Room service for breakfast is almost a must.

The parks were open late so we did manage to get park time in, but overwhelminingly, our time was spent doing other things.

This time we may do a few tours per day because some of them were not included on the premium package that are included in the platinum.

If you want to get the best value for your package, you really need to be willing to do other things during the day and save your park time for at night, or during park tours.

If your family wants to spend their time in the parks, this package really isn't for you.

We're normally non-planners and just wing it. With this package (or the premium) you must must must plan in advance.

I am having problems with the math. We are planning on going Feb 17 to 14th. Do you have to add the platinum add-ons listed on mousesavers on top of the room rate?

All you have to do is go to disneyworld.com and under the dining plan, go all the way down and select the platinum plan.

[this is after you select your resort, room type, and tickets]

The price shown needs to have the 25% taken off and that's what you pay. The additional cost is not minor. IIRC, it's near $400 per day on top of your room & ticket costs. To get a 25% discount off that is tremendous deal - but only if you're well aware that your only have so many hours in a day, and to get the best value, those hours have to include the activities in the package.

You cannot get this plan with the 4/3 deal going on.

I was evaluating this plan for the family. I didn't see BBB on the list. My DD is 7yo and would love a full princess make over. So, I called and was told this is not part of the platinum plan. Seems like I've seen this listed with the plan in the past but, I guess not now.

I don't think it has ever been on a platinum plan.
BBB has been around 2 - 3 years, right? Again, I don't recall ever seeing that.
Good idea though. It has everything else!
Maybe you were thinking of golf lessons or tours. :confused3
There is also the child activity centers.

A spa treatment is included. You an have your 7y/o get a mani/pedi!

Iwish that there was a way to add this plan with the discount to the vacation club! That would be so great for us!
