Plant Holly wood $15 voucher

What did you get at Plant Hollywood with the food voucher?

We've never used it (we don't like Planet Hollywood and end up just throwing it away). But I believe it is 15% off the food, isn't it?

The coupon is $15 off, we may plan lunch there on the way to the airport.

We used it in 2001.

It was just me and 2 boys, at the time, 10 and 7. It was like any pub restaurant (99 / John Harvards) around here, about twice the price. I remember the softdrinks being ridiculously expensive...like $6 or $8. We paid around $60 (including tip w/ $15 off) for 3 cheeseburgers/fries and drinks...and I think we shared one appetizer.

We eat there every trip. It's just a fun atmosphere and the food has always been decent. I've never noticed the costs to be any more than the rest of the restaurants at WDW :confused3

In fact, you can look at their menu on the Planet Hollywood website and see the prices. Soft drinks are $2.99 - since I don't drink sodas I can't be sure, but I think that is pretty comparable to most restaurants.

Not sure, when we went back in May '07 I think we had it so.

This year we had one $15 Planet Hollywood meal voucher, one free Planet Hollywood merch voucher (like a keychain), and one free MouseRacer rental. Again, I think it comes if you book with Disney a complete package like room, park tickets and dining.

To the best of my recolection, all packages come w/ the PH voucher for $15 off and the voucher for free souvinir from there. Also included are the free round of mini-golf and other fun things to do around property. In the past, my DF and I have used the voucher for a mid-afternoon snack at the bar there. We each ordered one appitizer and soft drinks, and it came to about $20-25, so about $10-15 OOP after the voucher. We loved the fried zuccini there...it was very well seasoned and breaded, and the prefect thickness. I think the other one we had was some sort of chicken tender appitizer. It too was very good, but the fried zuccini sticks out as a keeper. Have fun!

Great, I was looking for something like this, a quick bite before heading to the airport.:thumbsup2

We are going to use our voucher for a burger and fries, we never eat them so this will be a treat! I drink water when I am out because I dont drink much at home,so I am looking for not much out OOP expense, we will use it for a light lunch when we visit DDD.:)

That is what Disney is probably hoping you will do with it.

You're probably right. But I just can't bring myself to eat there--done the one in Chicago and Vegas (just like Rainforest Cafe) and we weren't impressed. Too many other good choices that I'd rather eat.

Dont know what we will use ours for. We are on the DDp so we get meal, drinks and dessert right? I was thinking about a dessert but forgot ddp included one. the brownie sunday looked yummy! Maybe the voucher will be used for an appetitzer

It is $15 off and CANNOT be used on any alcoholic beverages.

Management actually hopes you use the coupon. They want to drive visitors into PH, then once you get there sell you more that $15 in food or get you spend $ on alcohol or gift shop items. Its a good deal, the $15 off even works for a solo dinner because it does require a second meal to be purchased. Most coupons of that value are buy one get one, too much food for this solo eater. I won't be solo at WDW, but there are lots of people who are and PH is probably a comfy place to dine solo. Finally, PH is a chain so if you have a good experience at WDW you might try them elsewhere.

I am not sure if you can use the coupon and TS credits at the same meal.

Wait a minute are you saying when I go to use the PH Voucher I have to buy two meals as a solo diner? If so I will cancel this like yesterday!

as far as i know, you cannot combine offers.
we have let the voucher go unused, but if you check the date it doesn't expire at the end of your check in (at least it didn't used to). so we used it on a future trip when we didn't get a package, just "room only" (yes it was the same year.

we used it for 3 appetizers for the 2 of us. and it was more than enough food for a lunch. also, if you ever consider a "split stay" (I'm a BIG fan of this), you get the voucher with your package for the first resort, WITH the dining plan. BUT, you USE the voucher during your stay at the 2nd resort, the room only ressie. (you bought enough park tickets with your package for the whole stay)
example: a package with the DDP for 3 nights at coronado and 7 day tickets. then a room only ressie at POFQ for 4 nights. you still have a TS credit good till midnight, so you check into french quarter and take the boat to downtown for disney for your last TS credit. (if you're REALLY tricky, you saved a CS crredit ,cause who can eat all that food?) and when you get to FQ, you use it for a CS TO GO at the food court and put it in your fridge in your room. then you go to downtown (or boatwrights at riverside) for your last TS. the NEXT night, you nuke your TO GO CS in the microwave at the food court. the next day (or the one after that) you use the planet hollywood voucer you got from your package!! Voila! (maybe you even saved snack credits, and bought some donuts when you checked in, so you have breakfast at your 2nd resort stay!
It's really not as confusing as it sounds, and you get to experience 2 dif. resorts. Have fun!!!!:woohoo:

That is great to know it's doing the best for less,I like this idea, wish I had known about it,this is my first time at WDW next month, but what a great idea,I have heard this split stay mention on here and I am like what is the purpose, thanks now I know!:flower3:
