Planning Weddings for those Not-yet Engaged!

Mandy, at least I know I'm not alone. I don't think I'd even have a Disney Wedding so I don't have to be tempted to go there....

So DBF and I have actually talked about this wedding.
We are not engaged, we were texting about it the other day.
But he has only been divorced since June and we have only been dating since Memorial weekend. So who knows someday...but talking about is fine, nothing is set in stone.

there is this amazing place called our hidden meadow..its BEAUTIFUL!!
Its spendy, but if and when we ever get married, it will be my first, his second and my last. So i want all of the memories and I want this day to last forever, well in my thoughts when I look back y'know.

It will be an early summer wedding as his bestfriend is crabber and is gone the first wk of August until November, and i want and outside wedding.
I already know my colors--chocolate& pink. (maybe Tiffany blue)
There is story around the brown/chocolate color

It will be a 2 tiered square cake
His bro in law will DJ
The groomsmen will have a pink Gerba daisy as their bout.
My bridesmaids will have pink gerba daisy & white daisys in their bouquet.
My bouquet will be Cala lilies with a few pink daisy.
they will all be tied with brown ribbon.
Ok back to reality. When I figure out more I will letchya know.

Oh, I know. I'm not sure I'll go back in there even if I do get engaged anytime soon...

That's beautiful. I don't really go for outdoor weddings. First off I don't like being hot but also I'm VERY easily distracted so if there is ambient noise, bugs, leaves blowing in the wind, the ocean, etc then I can't pay attention at all. But, this place....I might have even considered it not being an outdoor wedding person. Very lovely!

Ok, so I haven't talked about dresses. Here are the ones I like at the moment:

This is my dream dress, the one I'll probably never have because it's WAY too expensive to have it made. You may recognize it from the stage version of Phantom of the Opera.

Don't feel that way...if you notice, there are quite a few brides planning weddings for 2010, 2012...Disney doesn't let you sign a contract that early so in some ways their plans are no more set in stone than yours. The only difference (as a PP said) is someone asked them THE question.

When the time comes, you should most definitely post your plans! Use the knowledge you have gained and make your wedding your dream come true!

Never worry about what others think! The only one who matters is you and your DBF/DF/DH2B.

c4a - I think I love you already I agree with everything you said and I thank you for being so kind. My parents are exactly what you described. I am their little girl and they both dream of the day I get married. If I eloped, I'd break their hearts Your dream wedding sounds lovely and so romantic.

jordansmomma - Glad you could join us in here A sunset Maui wedding sounds amazing. I've seen some gorgeous pictures of the Maui sunset and it is mind blowing. Hidden Meadow is beautiful too. I love the pictures on that bridge.

Angelhalo - I love your cake! What flavor was it? It looks delicious. Your flower girls are so cute and I love your get-away car. I am a sucker for a gorgeous vintage car. From what I can see your dress looks beautiful,I really love the pick-up skirt. Do you have a better picture?

Yay! Phantom is my favorite musical too. Though I've never seen it live, I fell in love with it 5 years ago. And yes, the back of the second dress is what attracted me to it in the first place.

BTW, you guys can maybe give me some advice. First off, my second year anniversary is about a month away and I have no idea what to purchase for my DBF. Any ideas? Also, since he won't be able to go on my December WDW trip, what should I bring for him this time? Last year I got him the Best BF Mickey Award.

True about expensive weddings. I've calculated it would be more expensive to have a wedding here than at WDW. The only problem I have is that the Escape weddings can only have 18 guests (including B&G) and our families are pretty big...

Hey, just letting you know that the limit to the Escape wedding is 18 guests, NOT including the B&G! So now you can invite a whole TWO more people !

And yeah, thanks to whoever made this new thread! I also feel personally insulted at what went down. Seriously, a lot of those girls had stopped posting for months and then suddenly they all come out of the woodwork to come bash us? Why, because we don't have e-rings yet? Oh, please. These are the two dresses I love:

DBF and I are huge fans of the band Explosions in the Sky. If you have never heard them, look them up on youtube and listen. They are really beautiful instrumental rock and it would be perfect for a wedding.

"Our song" is "Such Great Heights" by the Postal Service and I'd love for that song to be our first dance

I wanted my first dance to be to either "Don't Wanna Close My Eyes" by Aerosmith or "All I Ask of You" from Phantom. But, if I do get married at WDW it would probably be to Once Upon a Dream.
