Planning Weddings for those Not-yet Engaged!

***DON'T JUDGE...SOMETIMES BAD CHOICES HAPPEN BUT IT TURNED OUT PERFECT!!***

In a land far, far away from WDW, its a place that I like to call home...
Washington. There was this girl, Deb we shall call her. She was going through a very awkward time in her life.
It was memorial wknd 2008. It brings out the best of the beautiful people from Western Washington and they invade the beauty of Eastern Washington and we all gather in this place called Cresent Bar.
KKTMB (KT KT master...get my drift?) we were the choosen ones to ride with the DJ and get a table big enough for all of us and be on the look out for BB and his friends. BFF needed to stay in town for the parade as her dd was in it. So we get there and get the table have a few drinks and see the magical way that the outside bar gets set up. **SECURITY AT THE BAR IS SO FREAKING HOT!! ONE GUY LOOKS LIKE VIN DIESEL!!!!!!***
We are sitting there calmy awaiting our friends. We decide to go and get a drink, as we walk to the bar, I see BB and his 2 friends. We say hi. thats it.
Well finally everyone else slowly start arriving. KT, BFF, baby D (that would be BFFS lil sis, bbs older sis), and I head off for a shot or two :rolleyes1
We drenched. It is pouring outside. We go inside and at this point BB and I start talking and blah blah blah...we dance, and just hang out most of the night. Well its closing time. I leave with Baby D.
***DISCLAIMER*** I TAKE ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY ACTIONS ONCE THE ALCOHOL HAS TAKEN AFFECT**** :lmao: :rotfl:

Well on the way home apparently I may have called BFF, for BBs digits on the way home :confused3 (Why didn't I just ask his other sister may you ask? I have no clue  )
Anyhowser....I guess I may have blown up his phone or something.
So it came to be that when he got to ML he would come over and we would go back to his place 20 min away.
In the time that we...er..I was waiting for him, Baby D and I were starving, we wanted taco bell. So we called the older sister, ok mistake, umm..our friend in Denver has the name, so we may have called our dear Denver girl to please stop at TB on their way into town and get us some food?? :rotfl2:
Ok so finally someone knocks on the door, and it was him. We leave.
I think I slept most of the way.
We drop his friends off. Go to his house.
End up watching the Deadliest Catch in his room.
I am so sick
probably one too many bullblasters? Spiderbites? something.
Ok so the next morning I wake up around 8 AM a little bit confused...
I look up and I look straight into the bathroom and the color is chocolate brown. I am like WTH?? I am like we are not in Kansas any more toto!!!!!!:scared1:
I look over to see who is next to me...
:scared1:  :sad2:
In my head I am like OH. MY. GOD. THAT. IS. AMS. LITTLE. BROTHER.
WHAT. DID. I . DO.???????????
I turn around and lay as still as I can be!! I did not want to wake him up.
I was a little freaked out, this was so not me!! SO NOT ME!!!
My BFF was even like, WTH??
So like 20 min later he wakes up. Jumps out of bed and is like what?
I start laughing, not loud, BECAUSE REALLY THAT IS SO WHAT I WANTED TO DO!!!!!!!!!!
So he hops in the shower, I go and sit outside and call my other BFF Rae and tell her the happenings of the night (it wasn't for a about a wk later that his sister filled me in with the details, I was a little drunk that night).
He gives me a ride to my car that is at his sisters.
He tries talking but I have the worst hangover of my life!!
It seemed to be a very bright, bright morning.
It was the most awkward ride I have ever had.
So that is how the infamous BB came to be.

Funny thing is later that day, baby D is like hey, John, are you going to make Deb our sister in law? We love her!!
He is like I am not even divorced yet (2 wks later he was).
Needless to say, thanks to baby D, daddy-o found out.
I really love this family, but really can't there be any secrets???
NOPE NOT IN THIS FAMILY.
So we lovingly call the night our crazy life started as the BB night. And our friends refrence to him somedays is BB.

So basically we met through his sister. But CB is always a special place.
We have been together for around 5 months now.

His mom is asking for babies..she is nuts!!
Awww...So sweet and:lmao:
Its been a while since I have told this story.

Its even funnier when he called and wanted to know why we make fun of his brown bathroom. :lmao:

That was before he had my take on the brownbathroom night.
:lmao: :lmao: I can just imagine that phone call...when you first said that his nickname was brown bathroom, I had thought that maybe something had happened and his bathrooom ended up brown:rolleyes1 I'm glad I know the real story now
What about a Krispy Kream donought cake? Yum...
I love Krispy kremes. I actually was at a Bridal shower brunch where they did a donut cake...it was really pretty, but unfortunately in that case, the Donuts were stale:eek:
Look at this amazing bride I just ran across!!

That is really cool! if you didn't want that much color in your wedding gown, it would make a cool bridesmaid's dress, too.
Guys I know this is super long, but I just found this and really LOVE it!!

When You Give Your Hands, You Give Your Hearts
By Rev. Laurie Sue Brockway

Many cultures have different ways of blessing the hands of the bride and groom.

In Thai ceremonies, for example, the couple kneels as elder, married relatives pour blessed water from a conch shell onto their hands and offer words of blessing. In the ancient Celtic tradition of hand-fasting, the couple’s hands are literally tied together to symbolize spiritual and physical unity as prayers and blessings are recited.

In any tradition, a hand blessing is a ritual that is meant to draw you closer to one another.

I have always heard that the hands are a connection to the heart, and a hand blessing symbolically brings two hearts together. When I officiated the wedding of a physician recently she confirmed that physically there is a connection between the veins in the hands and the heart.

I like to offer couples a non-denominational approach. It can be done at any point in the ceremony yet fits in perfectly right after the exchange of the rings.

Here’s how it works:

You and your beloved face each other. First join your right palms, and then your left palms. This forms an infinity symbol with your hands, which symbolizes a love that will go on forever.

I love to begin with the sentiment that Shakespeare said, “Now join your hands, and with your hand’s your hearts.” (And in Las Vegas, you can probably find Shakespeare to utter that line himself during your ceremony!)

Then I ask the couple to look into one another’s eyes. There are a number of written/spoken blessings that can be used. Here is one that I have modified from a very, very popular hand blessing that seems to be all over the Internet (not attributed to an author, as far as I can tell):

These are the hands of your best friend. They are holding yours on your wedding day as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow and forever.

These are the hands that will work alongside yours as together you build your future.

These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch will comfort you like no other.

These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief wracks your mind.

These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.

May these hands always reach out with love, tenderness and respect.

May these hands continue to build a loving relationship that lasts a lifetime.

With eyes locked, and hands linked, this ritual is a beautiful symbol of the union of two hearts, two lives, and two souls.

That is really sweet.

It turns out very funny!!
The phone call :rotfl: :rotfl: Holy cow!! He was at work and we were just texting. Then I am like can I just call to explain the whole BB thing, (btw we all refer to him as BB, most of the time!! :lmao: ) it is just too much to type and explaining makes it sound much better than texting it!!
He was like sure.
OMG!!! It took me about and hour to call him. I was like hmmm...
How do I explain this? :rolleyes1
He kept asking why does everyone know what color my bathroom is???
So finally I called...it was quite humerous!!
He was like oh, I see. :sad2:

My dd, Aerial, just said that dress is the prettiest dress she has ever seen.

What about a Krispy Kream donought cake? Yum...

That sounds so good right now :thumbsup2

Wow, I've missed a lot! LOL...

Mandy, that cake is to DIE for! I'm salivating and it's not pretty...

You know, I haven't really thought about a cake topper...I love the white chocolate castle topper but DBF hates white chocolate...he can get over it though :rotfl: !

RosesAndDrapes.jpg

It looks really pretty and the best part is that it's edible! YAY!

For an actual keepsake topper, I like this one:

DBF has a thing for planes and I think it would be a nice touch! :goodvibes

Oh, and I see you ladies for were talking about how everyone met their DBF! I met mine in high school but we were so shy around each other it was ridiculous LOL! We became friends and then, finally, we started talking non-stop on the phone and started hanging out constantly (this was after high school graduation). Anywho, one day we were out with some friends and, out of flippin' nowhere, he kisses me. I was like :scared1: but I loved it :yay: ! Well, apparently, he thought that since we already kissed, we were BF and GF. Uh, NO BUDDY! LOL...so he asked me out between 11pm and midnight on the phone after we had already gotten back home. It was hardly planned but it was still special

My DBF hates white chocolate too :sad2:
Oh well, if you get that topper it will just be more for you to eat!

eewww...:scared: I do not like Kripy Kremes....bleh
But then again I don't really like donuts!!

:scared1:
You don't like krispy kremes?! I've honestly never met anyone who didn't like them. I could eat boxes of them things, I love them so much :lovestruc

Look at this amazing bride I just ran across!!
2850605770_70e418cb8e.jpg

Oh, I saw that on Offbeat Bride! She looks so gorgeous and happy :cloud9:

Have any of you seen the wedding dresses from Disneyland Japan? They're amazing!

I've seen those, they're not my style at all, but they are really pretty. When I heard there was going to be a DFTW dresses line that is what I expected the dresses to look like.

Guys I know this is super long, but I just found this and really LOVE it!!

That is beautiful!

:lmao: :lmao: I can just imagine that phone call...when you first said that his nickname was brown bathroom, I had thought that maybe something had happened and his bathrooom ended up brown:rolleyes1 I'm glad I know the real story now.

I totally thought the same thing :rotfl:

Oh, so DBF is totally flying to Chicago next Friday for an in-person interview
The company even invited him to their Halloween party! We're both so excited :woohoo:

OMG...I had 5 pages to catch up on...LOL
ArelysAdriana - Wish I knew how to quote as many replies as you do...I"d do better at keeping up...lmao

Anyways...loved the mini-cupcakes, actually LOVED that colorful dress!
And, the stories of meeting were great.... nothing like some liquid courage to bring people together :lovestruc

As far as my DBF and I meeting through myspace...we pretty much just tell people we met in Buckhead (hang out place of Atlanta).. cuz, we really did MEET there :)
Our first non-date date was a bar/restaurant, then we walked to 3 diff dance clubs. Then, I probably didn't use the best judgement either, but that night I stayed at his house... coudlnt drive...LOL. He offered me his bed and he slept on the couch. I was almost shocked when he never tried to come in the room.. LOL.. Well.. The next day we woke up and went to lunch before I had to go pick up my kids. We talked on the phone for the next 2 days, then I had him meet me at a bar I hung out at on a Tuesday (first date was Sat). We listened to my friends band, then went back to my house. (no..no kids were home). I told him I wasn't as polite as him and I wasn't offereing my bed, he could have the couch tho... LOL
Later that night while we sat up talking, he said he made a decision.. that the 'friends only ' thing wasn't going to work and he kissed me. It was the most amazing kiss ever  :cloud9:
We've been inseperable since!

I love Halloween parties too. I'm actually kind of jealous he gets to go to one. I wish my job did something like that.

Oh, by the way, any time you want to get back to your TR and update your needy readers (and by that I mean me) I'm sure nobody (aka me, again) would mind. Just sayin' :rolleyes1

We've been inseperable since!

AWWW...what a sweet story!!

I don't even think we kissed after the first night until...
A week after our first real date.
In the course of a month we watched movies once a wk at his house.
My kids were with their dad and he had his son (who btw is 3 and oh so cute!!) so it was easier for me to go there and then the child could be in bed at a reasonable time. His sister was like so did ya kiss? I am like no we didnt.
She would be like why????
Then July 12 we had our first real date. it was funny. His sister (baby D) was in town for a wedding and kept asking him where he was taking me for dinner?
He was like taco bell for tacos and then to the Sand bar. :rotfl: :rotfl2:
What really happened was we ended up at El Rodeo (oh and I did have a tacos lol) and then to CB. We met up with her at CB after the wedding.
She was like where did ya go? What did ya eat? It was nice. So our first date was fun, I have a pic on myspace of it, with his sis, and a few other friends.
Bar closed and we headed home. We talked all the way home. Sat in his explorer in my drive talking until 3 am. Then finally we went inside. still talking and then watched a movie. He kissed me. We fell asleep on the couch.
The next day went to breakfast and then Sunday BBQ at his sisters.
Boy do we have nosy friends!! I have not been asked how things went, what did we do by so many ppl!
Then after that he would come over after work almost everyday. We would eat dinner, watch TV (I think I got him addicted to big brother :rolleyes1 ),
and then around 9:30 or 10 he would leave to go home.
Then in August about a wk before I left for Vegas he stayed the night and just never went home. :confused3 :rotfl2:
Neither one of us are quite sure how that happened, but it did.
Saturday night I told him I loved him for the first time. He said he said it back, but I didn't hear him. I might have fallen asleep...I had a nice visit with spiderbites that night. So then Tuesday morning he sent met the text with blah blah and I love you.

Oh ya and then have I mentioned that his ex wife hates me?
So on Wednesday night he goes to pick up the child for a few hrs. Her daughter was home and when BB knocks at the door she comes running up,
yelling I am going out to say hi to Debbie!!
John is like she at home. Daughter said..oh tell her I said hi!
AND THEN...
He drops his son off and again the daughter is like hi John. Did you tell her I said hi? He is like ya. (but he didn't). She is like ok, well tell her I said hi again and good night. Well ex-wife was ticked!! she was like go to bed already!!

So yesterday morning, he is like I think you ticked off M. I am like how? What did I do? He was like you did nothing, it was her daughter. :confused3
I am like huh?? He told me the story.:rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao: :cool1:
Gotta love kids!! Sorry but She was like 2 when I met her.
Her mom is just bitter because the grass isn't greener on the other side!!

well well... I'm actually looking at Day 2 typed up in a Word document right now... I let Dbf write it this time (he finished last night).. and i'm adding in my two cents now :lmao: Tonight when i get home.. i post with pictures. Thanks for reading it..

You know what? I"m forgetting alot of the specifics from day to day... last night we debated over whether or not we went for breakfast before the Segway tour or not... puff.. next time we go in Sept. I'm def. going to take the time to keep a journal.. were going off of photos and his maps..:scared1:

We should eventually ALL meet up in WDW.. and have a girls weekend..a dismeet

Perfect!! I would love that!!

Here a few I like.
We are gathered here in the sight of God to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony. The love of God is an example for your devotion, and you are not left without guidance concerning the meaning of that love because God is love and love is all. A wedding ceremony is the perfect place to read from Corinthians. This is what God said love is: Love is patient and kind, knows no jealousy, gives itself no false airs or false pride. Never irritated, never resentful, love is neither glad when others go wrong or become hurt. Love is guided by goodness, always eager to believe the best, always hopeful.

Remember, anything beautiful that you have, came from God. In the beginning, God gave us our free will and our identity to walk this earth. Don't ever try to change each other, because if you do, you will lose exactly what you fell in love with. So, each day try to find one more thing that is beautiful in your mate, and each day know that the next day will be more beautiful than the one before. As long as you are doing this, you are seeking beauty, joy, and love in each other.

BB do you take Deb to be your wedded wife? To have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, in times of good and bad?

Deb, do you take BB to be your wedded husband? To have and to hold, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, in times of good and bad?

I, BB, pledge to you, Deb, as my friend, my love, and my companion to love, honor, and cherish as long as we both shall live.

I, Deb, pledge to you, BB, as my friend, my love, and my companion to love, honor, and cherish as long as we both shall live.

I give this ring in token and in pledge of my constant faith and abiding love with all that I am, and all that I will become.

well girls i'm in Canada.. I would need advance notice :lmao: It takes 5 hours.. but i'd def. be up to meeting everyone if we could all agree on a weekend.. in the new year? or sooner?

How fun!!!
I'm going to WDW the week of Memorial Day 09... I'll have my whole fam there, but if anyone is willing to go May 26th-30th....I'm ready to hang out!!!! :cool2:

We actually spent hours this morning when we couldn't fall back to sleep looking around on-line at various places. I found a few that I really loved :lovestruc

Yay! I'm glad you're working on your TR. I've never been able to have a TR because my Disney trips are just day trips, so I have to live vicariously through everyone else.

I LOVE it!! That would so great!

I live three hours from WDW, so I'm down whenever! :lmao:

A Disney girl's trip would be awesome. I currently live only 30 minutes away, but that may be changing soon. Regardless, I would so be down for a big meet up next year sometime, that way we would all have time to plan and save.
