iv just got a question i need help with.... how do you guys plan your disney trip?? last year me and my family planning 7 days in wdw, 2 days universal and ioa and 1 day shopping well it didnt work out like that....it was so busy we needed extra days in wdw to cover everything we wanted to see, this meant we missed out the shopping and one day in ioa. How do you guys plan your trips so well?? and how do you stick to your plan?? mght sound silly but i dont want to miss out on anything in out next trip :)

THERES SO MUCH TO SEE AND DO AT DISNEY THAT YOU WILL NEVER HAVE TIME TO FIT IT ALL IN, SO TRY WHAT WE DO. EACH PERSON IN OUR GROUP CHOOSES A SELECTION OF ACTIVITIES THAT THEY REALLY REALLY WANT TO DO, SAY 3 FOR EACH PARK AND THEN PUT THEM TOGETHER AND STICK TO IT, YOU WILL FIND THEN THAT EVERYONE IN YOUR GROUP GETS TO DO WHAT THEY WANT AND YOU MAY BE ABLE TO ADD MORE ONTO YOUR LIST IF MORE THAN ONE PERSON IN YOUR GROUP HAS CHOOSEN THE SAME ATTRACTION.

How many times have you been to WDW? This summer will be our 8th trip. We are FINALLY going to slow down. We will be gone for 16 days: 4 driving, 2days at Nick Hotel (1 day Universal Studios) and 10 days at WDW. I am going to buy 10 day non-expiring/waterpark passes and plan on usuing 5 of those days. Have each member of your party write a list (I LOVE LISTS) of must-do/see (Maybe 2-3 at each park) then compare and see what they have in common. There might be a total of 5 rides per park. Then choose the want -to-do rides and so forth., What you're doing is prioritizing what you want to do. You won't see everything there is at WDW and they plan it that way. I figure out what we haven't done because it's new and go to the lists. We are not going to park-hop this time. this will force us to slow down. I love to plan.:goodvibes

You really have to research and plan - plan - plan.

You need a "schedule" of what parks you will visit when. Decide ahead of time what EMH evening's and mornings you will take advantage of (because if you EMH until 1:00 in the am, the next day will be a down day...etc).

Get the Disney Dining Plan - there's no other way to go. I know it sounds silly - but you almost have to plan where you will eat first - and then plan your days around that. Make your ressies 180-90 days in advance.

We were in Disney for 10 days before - and felt like we did about everything -- but we NEVER had any down time of just relaxing by the pool/etc. That's what vacation is about. We were SO WORN OUT when we got home (we flew). I cannot imagine being in a car for 12-24 hours after Disney!

Hope some of these help. Browse around this DIS sight - everything you want to know is here. Search for it before you post it. 9 times out of 10, what I want to know is already here!

We don't plan to leave Disney. We haven't attempted IOA at all and usually do DTD as a shopping day on our last day in Disney. There is so much to do in Disney that we don't run out of new things to try and then of course, we need to do all the favorites again. My children are 7, 7 and 6 and this will be there sixth and fifth trips respectively. We usually stay about 9 nights and we never feel that we have done it all, but we are happy with what we have done. We know we'll be back to try new things again. We go slowly and spend time at the resort, in the pool and in the gift shops in the park and resort. We never feel exhausted or tired at the end. I would plan on spending all your time at Disney and if you feel like you have done Disney then get a cab and go to IOA for the day.
