I tried ME for the 1st time in 2005 and had a terrible experience in leaving ASMu that I had to take a cab to get to MCO on time... But this coming Sept. am contemplating on using it again since it will be a solo trip and I dont think I need to grab a rental.. now my question is.. my flight is at 6:30AM via SWA to PHL from MCO, no hotel check in for SWA at POP and I might have 2 suitcasses to check in. Will ME start that early and will I have enough time to get there?

TIA

Your pickup time will be between 3:15 AM and 3:45 AM. Yikes! Yes, the DME service runs 'round the clock. There are many other guests who also have early morning flights.

Early morning flights seem like a good idea... until you calculate how early you need to get up.

By the way, nobody can use Resort Airline Check-in (RAC) for flights at 6:30 AM, regardless of airline. The RAC desk opens at 5:00 AM and guests must check in 3-12 hours before their flight time. So unless someone has a flight departure time after 8:00 AM (and they're flying on a RAC-partcipating airline), RAC is not an option.

DME is a 24/7 operation. They will pick you up around 3:30 am though. A towncar would only get you an addtl 30-40 mins.

Don't forget that the front desk can get you checked in for that Group A boarding pass the day before.

Awesome FYI.. I hope I have better luck the 2nd time around...:flower3:
