We are going in Dec 23-30th. I know it will be a busy time anyway with the holiday. We arrive around 3:30pm so I thought we would go to downtown disney and check out what is there and get something to eat and head back to Pop Century to get a good nights rest, if possible.

Any suggestions on where to start the next day? I read where someone wrote to go to Epcot which makes sense since it is a pretty large spot. Any place that we MUST see? I have a feeling that we will never see everything while we are there (good excuse to have to go back in a year or two).

I always like to take my kids to a character dinner the night we arrive since we don't go to the parks until the next morning.
It gets them use to seeing the characters and sets the mood for the next days events.

We usually go to AK on the first day. If we went to MK first, our kids would never want to go anywhere else.

That makes alot of sense to go to somewhere other than MK the 1st day. My kids would not want to go anywhere else either. Thanks for the idea:wave:

For me, it sometimes depends on what day of the week we arrive. In your case, I would do MK on your first day. It looks like the 24th is a Friday, so you'd probably be better of doing MK that first morning (get there at opening!). The extra hour opening is at AK that morning. I wouldn't do MK on a Saturday unless you didn't have much of a choice, so if you don't go to MK on Friday, you're in WDW for 2 full days before getting there. Perish the thought.

Going to DTD on your first night is a good plan...so was the idea about getting a good night's sleep! ;)

You know, your kids may surprise you. We always go to MK on the first day and my kids still get excited about going to the other parks. They really like Epcot. Of course, we usually go back to MK twice more, so they know they'll be there again. I have a nine year old son and a seven year old daughter.

We aren't going this year :( but will be there next year :Pinkbounc . To get our Disney fix, they are helping me plan. We made a list of must do attractions and I was surprised how many of their choices were out of MK.

Have fun on your trip!
