I would like some thoughts on my first day touring plan.

We are arriving around noon on Fri, May 31@the Poly.
After check in we plan to go to Fantasia Mini Golf
Then go back to resort change for TL , arrive at TL around 2:30-3pm
Come back to resort around 5pm.
And then I wanted to go into one of the parks for dinner rides, etc but not sure which one to go into. Mk would be most convinent but I was also thinking MGM for the Fantasmic show which we have never seen. My DH loves Illuminations. My DD wants to see something different (where my Fantasmic thought came in). DN has never ever been to WDW. I don't care which we do first. I figure we will see them all within the 7 nights we are there. Any Ideas? Opinions? Thoughts? Help!?!???

The other days are planned as follows:
Sunday MK
Monday AK/Epcot
Tuesday MGM
Wednesday Epcot
Thursday US half day/go back to WDW half day
Friday IA half day/ WDW other half
Saturday go back to anything we want to do again or have missed

Thanks
Sharon

The only suggestion I might make is to do USF and IOA on the same day. You're going to spend a lot of time traveling when you could be spending it in the parks!

Even at that, it will be hard to fit them both into one day, or two half days (unless half day means leave around 6pm). Since you have the open day (Saturday), you might want to devote a whole day to each. I'm assuming you have Ultimate Park Hoppers or Annual Passes for Disney if you're using a day for only half a day, so even if you do stay at USF until 6-ish and IOA until 6-ish, you can still go to Epcot in the evenings for an hour or two.

Sounds like a great trip!! Enjoy!

I hope I never have to choose between Fantasmic and Illuminations:( but since you will be there long enough to see both that's not really a problem. Our first visit to WDW was last year and our first night we saw Illuminations--I think that set the perfect tone for the rest of our stay--and with all the places to eat and the kinda laid back atomsphere I guess I would say go to Epcot the first night.

I'll confuse you more! We try for Fantasmic on the first night, because it is so awesome! It really gets you in the mood because you see Mickey and all the other characters!

We waited for another night on one trip to see Fantasmic and it got rained out! I thought I would cry!
