For our all-adult, 4-day trip to Orlando in mid-Oct (13th - 16th), if we wanted to do the Halloween party on the 14th, maybe eat at the CG on a night when Wishes was on etc., can we risk to wait until october official hours are out? See, we might not want to do the Halloween thing and also Wishes from CG - but we can't really decide which one until we know what dates and times Wishes will be on. I also want to know park hours for sure, including which days to avoid (we will not be onsite) before I make any PS' or decide for sure to buy Halloween tickets.

What are your feelings on this? How busy do things get? Can I afford to wait until August to make any firm plans?

Usually only Halloween night and sometimes 1 or 2 other nights sell out. The middle of the month could be a fluke but theres no real way to determine. If it's a must do then I'd get the tickets sooner than later. If you really don't care if you go, then you can wait awhile. The October hours should be out by the end of summer or right around there. So that will leave you some time to plan.

For the past two years we have made trips in October. 2002 10/25 - 11/1, 2003 10/18-10/25. I have waited until park hours were out to buy MNSSHP tickets and make CG PS (during fireworks). I have not had any problems so far and will probably wait to do the same for this year 10/22-10/30.

That's great that we can wait! It's so hard to plan when you don't have park hours and event/show times.

You could book ASAP based on what is most likely and then change it if the hours are unexpectedly different. Since you know that MNSSHP is on Thurs the 14th, then you also know that the Pty fireworks will be at 9:45 that night. Based on last years hours, MK was open late on Friday and Saturday w/ Spectro running at 8 and 10 and Fireworks at 9 both nights.
