Planning our Wilderness Lodge Adventure! Nov 8-15 ~ We are back!

:lmao: You haven't been converted yet? Me either! I tried on a pair once and couldn't stop laughing at myself! Yes, I looked ri-di-cu-lous! :rotfl2:

Total :clown: shoes, IMHO! :lmao: BUT, on Camelotcats' PTR, she did find a new pair that are simple nice Mary Janes, not big honkin' clogs! She also had a pair of flip flops that were decent!

I saw some men's flip flops that aren't bad..........

Ya, Angela's flip flops weren't too bad either. I just may try them on...we'll see if I can bring myself to do it.

They wouldn't know at all if you didn't go the the show.

By the way, we don't find Fantasmic offensive and we would probably be viewed the way you describe yourselves as far as your faith. I read one of your posts where you explained your reservations. We are not fans of the witches and goblins themes at all. They will show all of the bad guys from the movies and it may seem a bit "dark" for a while but the ending is very happy and Disneylike with boats and all of the main characters. Maybe on youtube you can see highlights of it. Your DS is so young so it will mostly be about what you and your DH deem appropriate for yourselves.
:thumbsup2

Oh thank you for your review!!!! :goodvibes I have had several people say this now. You all have helped make me feel much more confident about going.

DH and I figure to go now, while DS is still too young to remember and too young to get scared, so we can decide if it will be something we will go to as he's older or not.

I sort of want to watch it on YouTube, but in another way I want it all to be a surprise!!

Brookelizabeth,

Just make sure you don't sit too close to the front. There is fire on the water at one point that might scare Henry if you're too close. As long as you're at least a dozen or more rows back, you shouldn't feel any of the heat. :)

And I agree with stepdisney. Just ignore the villains part - most of the show is beautiful and happy! :goodvibes

Oh thank you for letting me know this! :goodvibes My DH is legally blind, so for both Indiana Jones and Lights Motor Action we sat in the handicap section in the very front so he could see better-otherwise it can be very difficult for him to see and enjoy the show if we sit too far back.

We'll have to analyze which section is our best choice-either the one with the dinner package, or the handicap.

Maybe I should watch that video on YouTube and then if we do sit in the very front for DH's sake, I'll know when to scoop up Henry and go stand a bit further back...hmmm....I think I'll also bring this up to the CM on the phone when booking to see if they have any advice too.

Thank you again!

04-21-2008 - NYC, Next Steps and

DH and I have also been planning for the NYC trip, so that has taken some of my attention away...but not much! :rotfl:

I still haven't downloaded the pictures with Henry in our new stroller...I'll get to that today and give our review of our first test run with it. I also need to start visiting the DISingers boards and get some ideas rolling for our T-Shirts. Knowing how I am, I better start now if I expect to have a decision made for the color, design, buying the shirts, buying the iron-ons, and actually making them!

I'm also highly considering just using zazzle.com...but even then, I better start designing now!

And for my  news...I've come to the realization that Diseny is most likely not going to release the EMH's for November prior to when I have to make my ADRs. Only 21 days until I make the ADRs () and they just released the October ones. I hope I'm wrong, but that's what it's looking like. We'll just have to book whatever, and then switch around anything that we can after the EMH's are released. I just hate having to call back and switch ADRs and all that, but oh well! Gotta do whatcha gotta do, huh? :)

201 days, almost to the 100s!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :woohoo: :dance3: :yay: :cheer2:

Don't lose your focus!!

We (okay, I :) ) had so much fun doing this! Are you into tye-dye? If so, the Mickey tye-dye ones are fun to make and turn out cool! Picture Henry in a tye-dye onesie! :thumbsup2

I think the switching ADRS is half the fun of planning a trip - it's what you do to keep yourself engaged in the vacation once you've gotten your hotel, tickets, and flight! ;)

WAHOO!!

Hiya!!

So what kind of stroller did you end up getting?? Cant wait to see Henry in it!!

Dont fret too much on your ADR's....:)

Depending on Henry....he may not even want to eat at a *sit down* dinner all the time! Funny how the little ones can assist with your plans that way!!

We were lucky....only the one time did Ava tell us she wasnt having it! lol
Luckily at the restaurant IN YC...we just had them box our food up and ate on the balcony..oh...then Illuminations....so we were like..yay Ava! Thanks for getting us out of the restaurant! lol (*Oh, we were staying at YC)

The two restaurants she loved (according to her not wanting to get out of her seat:) ) were Coral Reef and the Character Breakfast at Cape May Cafe.

You just never know with the little ones!! Henry will have a ball!

Don't lose your focus!!

I will try not to! :goodvibes I am super excited about seeing my family in Chicago (my Dad and brother still haven't met my DS!) and being back in NYC where my heart is!! But, Disney requires planning, NYC I can throw together in an afternoon. ;)

I'm not big on tye-dye, but Henry in a tye-dye onesie-now that would be adorable! And really, it's Disney. People are allowed to wear fanny packs and still be considered 'normal', I think I could do tye-dye.

I need to have this focus rather than the annoyance of having to switch everything around.

It's going to be my next entry...hopefully today. I'll just say...I think you'll like it!

Dont fret too much on your ADR's....:)

Trying not too...I just am the type of person that likes to set things just right and then leave it. Calling back and switching and all that..ugh...but like I said above, I need to have a 'fun' prespective on it!

Ya, I've thought about all that too...he is usually VERY well behaved and we've never had a problem at dinner out now, but who knows as he grows older and mobile!! I have to remember to bring a couple toys with in our bag so he can play at dinner before the food comes. I imagine Coral Reef would be awesome for a little one-that GIANT fish tank! And the Character meals, it's like all their stuffed animals came to life! So fun! :lmao: Hopefully Henry will think our choices are interesting....but I better remember some good 'busy' toys for him!

04-24-2008 - Stroller Review

Our new 'vacation stroller' arrived probably a bit over a week ago now, and we took it on it's madien voyage-a trip to the grocery store! It's much smaller than our big Graco, and we usually put DS in the front seat and then the diaper bag in the cart, but we were MEGA shopping, so we wanted all the room we could in the cart....and it gave us a great excuse to use the new stroller. :rolleyes1

DH quickly put it together, we put Henry in and here was his reaction...

We have a winner here! :woohoo:

Both DH and I love it, and Henry loves it. We even practiced for the NYC subway by carrying it down stairs. Even with my Bionic Arm I could lift this thing! So, so awesome!

THANK YOU AGAIN DIANA FOR YOUR RECOMMENDATION!

I love that it reclines FLAT, and has a basket, and has a cupholder, and has a child tray.

Along with the t-shirt design, I'm going to get a stroller tag, or something to futher ID that this is Henry's stroller.

And.....we are officially in the 100's!

 199 days!

Oh, and off topic...Henry learned how to get up on all fours today! He's getting so big!

I've been thinking for a while about changing the name of my report - Valentine's Day was so long ago! Any suggestions?

"Baby's 1st trip"

"DH said yes, we are going back!"

"A smorgosbord of ideas and thoughts...Pre-Trip Planning Journal - Nov 9-15 a WL"

I know this is less of an actual PTR, and more of a spot for me to log everything-and ya'll are just joining in for the ride! :goodvibes So I wanted to reflect that in the title...which makes me like something like the last one the best. Then, when I write the actual TR I will change it to reflect appropriatly again.

Or, is changing your PTR title a big faux pas on the DIS? :confused3

Next thing, he'll be asking you for the keys to the car!

You can sure tell that Henry loves his new stroller. :goodvibes He is so cute and is becoming such a big boy now.

Henry looks so cute in that stroller. Red looks good on him. He's too cute. By the way, how does the t-shirt design thing work on the Dis? I've been over to the design board, but only got confused.

Thank you! :) He is getting SO big!! Almost 8 months old already.

Thank you! :flower3: I think you can just either find someone who does Designs and has one up that you like, and ask them to adapt it saying what you want it to-such as your name - or you can post and put out a request describing what you want and one of the DISingers will hopefully reply and make you something. I think they then either post it online and you can save it, or they will email it to you. Then you take the design and can print it out on the Avery iron ons for your shirts.

I think that's how it works.

Thanks, Brook. That explanation clears up many questions for me.
