Had a phone call with my new planner a few days ago and have to say I am super happy about it! She was super nice and easy to talk to and definitely made me feel at ease.
Weddings are so exciting! We are also getting married at the WP and reception at LSS (May 12, 2012). We go to our planning session this Friday. I am so excited! Who is your wedding planner?

We decided to re-visit our cake problem and came up with a new design. It's still a bit pricey but it's definitely more do-able than our original choice.
Just finishing putting our Save the Dates together! I have to say I was pretty bummed when I found out Disney doesn't send out save the dates for couples getting married there anymore, but I love how ours came out! We designed them ourselves and sent them off to be printed on large magnets at Vistaprints. They came our awesome and go with our theme!
We bought Ivory envelops and decided to old school it and use a wax seal as well.
Close up of our wax seal.
We added anchor confetti in our wedding colors into the envelopes.
Awesome Save the Date notices! It's a bummer that your first pirate cake design was too pricey, but the second design is just as neat! Maybe you can find a unique pirate ship cake topper
Why in the world doesn't Disney send out save the date cards anymore?
I'm actually not sure why they don't offer save the dates anymore. My guess would be just to save some money. They did say I could use their virtual save the dates via their Facebook application but I didn't like the layout of it. It still needs a lot of work to be user friendly in my opinion. It would add people randomly from my friends list to be in the wedding bridal party! So I had to delete it.
I also received this in the mail today! We sent a Save-The-Date to both Disneyland and Disney World a couple weeks ago. Kind of a bummer that they don't send out the autographed photos anymore but it's still a super cute postcard!
So I know I haven't been as active on my planning as I should be...silly work getting in the way.
Anyways! Our planning session is in a little less than 5 weeks! Yay! And we are so excited! We've made a few changes to our venues. We are still keeping the Wedding Pavilion but changing the reception to one of the GF ballrooms to save some money and keep everything in a general area so we don't lose any of our guests. (Easy button pressed)
Other than that we're just twiddling our thumbs and marking off the days of the calendar till its time to fly to Florida.
In one week my honey and I will be heading down to Florida for our planning session! Yay!
So excited to meet our planner, see the venues, and take a longgggg needed vacation from work!
I will definitely be taking a lot of pictures and will post them when we get back.
I am new to the forum, but I'm getting married at the Wedding Pavilion in December, so I would love to see any pictures you could show of the construction site?! Slightly nervous about what it will look like!
