We just got ours today. Good thing we both took tomorrow off, because I think we have a lot to go over. Did you receive a "budget beo" yet?

Hopefully these links work and will help out those that are lurking about trying to find out pricing information...

Thanks so much for sharing that info!! Those menus look so tasty and the pricing will help so much with estimates. Do you happen to have a link to the dessert party menus? I tried to navigate from disneycateredmenus but it wants a password. :confused3

Also, it looks like the MK photo shoot went up by $300, yikes!

No not yet. I'm having to do estimates on my own at the moment by going over what information they have given me. I don't think they'll give me one until our planner is situated.

The room blocking is a lot to go over and kind of complicated with their if you hold x amount, we really hold y amount, but you have to guarantee z amount.

:coffee: <-- me going over the info and numbers

So at the moment it's pretty much us calling everyone on our guest list to see what hotel they can guarantee they'll stay at and for which days because we don't want to have to pay extra for rooms not used.

Sorry they didn't send me the dessert party menus :(
I won't be hosting one so I didn't need it. But my guess would be to look in the menus section I linked to and look at the al la carte section and price the desserts there and you should have about the same pricing?

Yeah, I was disappointed when I saw they raised the portrait sessions. We're hoping we can still afford one because I want photos of us inside the parks so we'll see what happens.

Wanted to post how my wedding bouquet is coming along. Yes I'm using silk roses because I want to keep my bouquet forever! :) plus I love sparkle so I'm adding swarovski crystal to it. Can you spot the hidden mickey?

So I'm in the process of making Pirate Ship boutonnieres for my fiance and his groomsmen. Working on a prototype in these photos. Still need to add paint but I think its coming along nicely :cool1:

My fiance and I are at our official One Year Mark till the wedding! It's all so exciting and I can't wait!

Wow I guess I got so excited I totally forgot about the "How we met, how he proposed, blah blah blah" section....

So sit back, relax, grab some coffee, coffee cake, etc and prepare for a read...or just skip this part haha

How We Met
We both first met while working at Universal Studios in Florida. He was a technician and I worked in costumes at one of the shows. He was dating someone at the time so we were just friends. Eventually he moved to Las Vegas to further his career while I stayed at Universal.

We kept in touch through the computer and it was during one of our chat sessions that he let slip that he had a huge crush on me. (He had broken it off with his girlfriend when he moved to Vegas so we weren't entering taboo territory.) I thought it was super cute and courageous of him to say that but being so far apart there was nothing we could do about it.

A few months after that I moved to Kentucky for a career change, a huge mistake. But it worked out! I hated my job so much that I went to Vegas for my birthday and got to hang out with my now fiance'! It was the best week of my life. We went to shows, ate at fantastic restaurants, and just had so much fun hanging out. I was so sad when I had to return home.

After my visit we talked on the phone every day and it got to the point that he wanted me to move out to Vegas with him. After thinking it over for a few months I agreed. I wanted to get back into entertainment plus he was out there too! So after my apartment lease ended I packed up and moved across the country.

We immediately started dating after I moved and have been together and happy ever since! :)

How He Proposed
We decided to go to New York for our one year dating anniversary. He bought us tickets to go see my favorite musical Wicked! It was my second time seeing the show and his first. It was amazing! But then again I just adore that show! After the performance ended he surprised me with a back stage tour. Our tour guide was super nice and answered all the questions we had about the props, sets, costumes, and whatever else we could think of. After a moment she excused herself and it was just me and him up on the stage. While I was taking in the ambiance of the stage he snuck up behind me and whispered "There's something I've been meaning to ask you." I turned to face him just in time to see him kneel and pull out a small black box. He opened it and it held the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. "Will you marry me?" he asked. I was so stunned the first words out of my mouth were "Shut up!" and then I started bawling like a kid who was told they couldn't have cake on their birthday. Of course I said "Yes!" (after I finally stopped the water works) and afterwards his friend met us for celebratory drinks at a drag show hahahaha!

awww such a cute story!

Loving your plans so far, those pirate ships are so unique!

Our cake topper should be arriving at our doorstep sometime today and I'm super excited about it!

Also wanted to share a photo of the cake we're hoping Disney can create for us. With some changes of course...we want the flowers to be fresh red roses and the topper will be the one coming in today!

I received my topper in the mail today and was super excited! I'll post photos once I get them uploaded.

On the disappointing side I got a call from the place I was going to order my wedding gown and they told me they gave me the wrong quote. They said they were off by like $600+....so sadly the dress of my dreams will not be bought. :( And now I'm back to square 1 on dress shopping.

Here are the cutest favors I found at JoAnn's! I haven't decided how to decorate them yet but we're thinking about getting chocolate gold coins and liquor chocolates to fill them with.

Why yes...yes that is Capt. Jack Sparrow's compass :) We're going to redo the paint job and add our photo inside. Can't wait to see it on the cake!
