*Planning our Must Do's = BoOzE & Food* Nov '12 F&W Fest PTR*10/31 I leave TODAY!

So sorry about your grandmother. That's a tough one to see them go but you are glad they are where they ultimately should be. :littleangel: How special that there are all those letters to remember your grandparents.

As for your character breakfast - I haven't been to Tusker House yet (cancelled twice) but we've done Akershus twice and loved it. I'm sure Corey would love to pose with princesses! :rotfl2: I must have gone during a premium priced time because our last dining experience cost almost $40 per adult. Yikes! :crazy2:

Argh! The PH debate... looks like you would use them. My vote is to get it and break up your day between parks.

Corey already told me he wouldn't go! He's too shy I guess! I think we are stick with CRT! I reduced the party size for just us two girls.

I think we have mind up our mind about what we want to do! After FINALLY get an opinion on the boyfriend we have decided what we wanted to do!

We have decided to NOT get park hoppers!! Money is an issue for us and while it is an ideal schedule to have park hoppers we just can't justify an extra $160 just for the ability to park hopper. With a shorter trip I just can't justify them.

I thought about it and I realized I would have just as much fun if I didn't have park hoppers than with park hoppers. If Corey and I both decide we want them later on, we can buy them separately once we enter into the park. We would use them twice.

Plus, I do not want to be a commando park tour person with my friend. I want her to enjoy her time off and I don't want to turn her away from Disney World. I want her to come back with me sometime! She works very hard at her job so I don't want to make this trip stressful by having to feel we have to go to another park to get our money's worth.

And, with that, I can justify Cinderella's Royal Table! I have changed the reservation from 3 to 2, so it is just going to be us two girls with the princesses!princess: That will be perfect because I know Corey would be shy! And us two girls love the princesses! Corey said he would get there after us and get a cinnamon bun from Main Street Bakery.

That is the update for now! I am also considering doing a Mixology Seminar or a Wine Seminar, or both! We will see though. Now, I need to call and cancel ParkHopper.

Also, I just realized that Brazil is not here this year. That is kinda weird, I thought Brazil was popular! I am going to miss trying that Caiprihana drink.

I will post later with full day plans!

Hi! :wave2: I somehow stumbled upon your PTR this morning - I don't even remember how. I subscribed earlier and just now finished reading through. Your plans look great, I think. It's funny - we're going to be there at the same time and 3 of our days overlap with the parks we're choosing!

My DH and I loved the F&W Festival last year and can hardly wait until our trip. A lot of your choices are similar to what I like too. I didn't quote your list, but from what I remember: we loved the sausage from Canada and the slider from Hawaii! I think you mentioned the griddled cheese from Greece - I wasn't a huge fan of that but I know several people who LOVED it. Also, I wasn't a fan of the pierogi (Sweden, I think?) either. It was fine, just not great. Those two were actually some of the only things I remember not liking - and we tried A LOT of food last year. ::yes::

Sorry to hear about your grandma :( I'm afriad one of mine is close to passing away and I will be so sad when it happens.

Oh, and I took my BFF with her family in December 2010 and she was totally bitten by the Disney-bug! She joined the DIS and she's just as huge of a fan as I am now. It's awesome! I'll keep following along as you update! :goodvibes

HI! Thanks for reading along!!! That is really funny that our plans overlap. I will have to watch out for you!

I am glad your friend was bitten by the Disney bug. I don't think that will happen to mine but I hope she really enjoys her time.

Maybe I can cross that pierogie off the list! I definitely don't need it. The greek cheese I am curious about but I am sure it will be a hit or a miss. I am excited about the pork slider and the sausage.

Rachel - I think a girls princess breakfast at CRT sounds perfect! (Not to mention the sigh of relief that I think I heard all the way from here from Corey!)

At least there is plenty to do at the parks that you probably won't even miss not having Park Hoppers.

Before I read on, I just want to share my condolences for you & your family. I sorta teared up myself once I saw those letters. That is such a part of them to cherish.

I have not "hopped" in years. :tigger: Honsetly, I don't miss it @ all. I leave the park & go to the Resort,DTD, Boardwalk, dinner,or the waterpark. Then I just go back to the same park. Sometimes my DH just wants to stay ALL DAY! [which is fine w/ me.] For some people it's a must have & I get that. I like to enjoy & take it all in. ;) I also enjoy saving the $ & putting it towards my next trip.:woohoo:

Hi Everyone!
I hope you are having a great Thursday!
I finalized some plans today, mainly my ADRs.
Here are my finalized ADRs with what I plan to get at each. If you have any suggestions about what I should or shouldn’t get, let me know.
Thursday November 1st
Kona 8:10am
I am kind of still decided on switching to Boma. I hear awesome things about Kona, but the truth is, that we are breakfast buffet people. We love our breakfast buffets, and so far we aren’t doing one this trip. I really would do both if I could, but I don’t think Corey wants to do.
If I go to Kona I want to get The infamous Tonga Toast($12.99) and Kona Blend ($2.99). How does jus their regular coffee differ from their pressed pot? I don’t want to get the pressed pot because of the price.
Thursday November 1st
Via Napoli 7:00pm
I am super excited for this. I have been there once but it will be new to Corey. I am still undecided as to what I am going to get. Either the Piccante Pizza with sausage and broccoli rabe($18) or the Prosciutto and Melon Pizza($18). I am not sure if they have the Piccante pizza anymore. There is a possibility I am not using a TS credit here. I don’t really want dessert from here, but if I had to I would get the Gelato Frizzante with vanilla gelato and Aranciata.

Friday November 2nd
Ohana 8:05pm
My most favorite ADR! I can’t wait to take Emily here because is a meat girl! I love this place. I am trying to get an earlier reservation still, but this will be fine I guess.

Saturday November 3rd
Cinderella’s Royal Table 8:40am
This one is just for us girls, Corey decided he didn’t want to eat with the princesses. Now, I wonder why! Haha! I am sooo excited for this! I know there are mixed reviews for this but they just changed their menu so I am highly optimistic. I am so excited to get into the MK before park opening and eat in the castle. I think I did that when I was very young but I don’t remember. I am either going to get the Lobster and Crab crepes or the Cream Cheese Stuffed French Toast, or maybe both if they will let me! Haha, I am a pig. I know the price is outrageous, but I am willing to do this as a one time thing.
Saturday November 3rd
The Wave 5:30pm
This one is a new one for us too! I am very curious about the menu so we will see how this goes! I either want to try the Pork Tenderloin with bourbon grilled peaches($22.99) or the Chicken with blueberry bread pudding($21.99). The dessert I want is the Creamy Indulgence($7.99). It sounds heavenly.
Sunday November 4th
Le Cellier 11:35am
Yumm, my other favorite restaurant! I am excited to show Emily this place! I get the amazing Le Cellier Mushroom Filet($27.99) and the Chocolate Mousse! That thing is sneaky looking. It doesn’t look that good, but it is the best chocolate mousse ever. Apparently, they are switching to two credits for lunch next year, so this is my last time to eat here if I am on the dining plan.

Monday November 5th
Yachtsman Steakhouse 5:40pm
This one is just for Corey and I. Emily will have left by now. I know I want the Filet($41) and if the dessert menu stays the same the Peanut Butter and Pretzel Gianduja Cake ($11). We are only using two table service credits here just for one person. This is our first Signature Dinner ever and it is basically the only one Corey would try.

That is all for now! Does anyone have any suggestions on anything?

Cinderella's Royal Table, Kona, The Wave, and Yachstman will be new for us. Via Napoli will be new for Corey and every place with be new for Emily! I personally would rather to Tutto Italia over Via Napoli but Corey is very anti weird food so nothing really appealed to me on that menu.

Yeah I know, especially when Emily doesnt even know what park hopping is! Haha, about the sigh of relief! he definitely did not want to go.

Thank you so much. They were so fun to read and I will cherish my letters forever!

That makes me feel better about not hopping! I am glad other people don't do it either. I have never been to a water park at Disney! I want to to that someday.

Kona's cup of coffee was excellent.:coffee: Not sure if it's the same as the pressed pot.[I think the waitress said it was] We'll stop @ the coffee shop in Poly, it's that good. & you can get the Tonga @ Poly's QS from what I read on here.

We are going to Boma for breakfast too,not long after you!! :woohoo: I can't wait for your review!!

Wow the Gelato Frizzante looks so good!!! 'Ohana is my favorite too!!!! & on LC, you are SO right on that mousse, my DH got it & I got the smores. Big mistake on my part. The mousse was unreal!!!

Typhoon Lagoon is my fav. :beach: LOVE it!!! But no water parks for us this year. TL is closing for referb. :sad1: But that's ok.

Hello from Cleveland! I'm loving the PTR - you have some awesome ADRs planned.

I'm doing CRT with my friend when we go in December, but I think I'm in the minority of males who actually wants to go to CRT (it was my idea to book...and mine to book Akershus, lol).

Can't wait to see more updates :)

I will trust you about the coffee and just order a cup! We decided we do want to go to Boma for sure so we will make sure to leave some food for you! Haha. Yummy mousse! I can't wait for that!

Hey! Haha you are in the minority! That is so great that you are planning all of this for your friend, especially because you are a guy! I love that you are so into the planning process! My friend doesn't care and my boyfriend doesn't care what we do either. I am excited for Cinderella's Royal Table because I have never been there! Well I think i was when I was 7, but that doesn't count.

Just read your list of ADR's - and it looks like I totally copied off of your list! We are doing Kona (for dinner, though, instead of breakfast), Via Napoli, Ohana, and Le Cellier. I think the only one we're doing that wasn't on your list is Rose & Crown! Great minds? I think so:)

Well, I am thinking about changing my plans already!

Day 1 was originally going to be a chill day, maybe DTD in the afternoon, and Epcot at night with Via Napoli for dinner. Now I am contemplating going to Animal Kingdom as soon as Emily gets there and after we eat lunch at Art of Animation. I figure will probably have 1-5pm there, so 4 hours. The things I want to do are Expedition Everest, Safari, Dinosaur, Bug's Life, Lion King Show. Do you think I will be able to get this done in 4 hours? Then the last day there would kind of be a free day.

With the old option we would have to go to AK the last day even if Emily wanted to go back to a different park. With the new option she could choose which park she wanted to go back to. I kinda hope she wants to go back to Epcot, which I think she will but it is up to her. She has to be on the Magical Express at 5pm that day so we will have plenty of time.

Here are the pros with this option
  • Leaving Mondy to do whatever Emily wants
  • Being able to enter a park after Corey and I dinner. AK closes too early so we would be locked out of a park that night bc we aren't getting PH
  • Not wasting a full day of tickets
  • Being able to pick another TS for dinner on Thursday

Here are the cons
  • Would go to Epcot two days in a row, I tend not to like to do that
  • Have to rearrange Via Napoli to something else. Possibly dinner on Sunday or lunch on Monday
  • Possibly have to rearrange other ADRs. Boma might only be just me and Corey now.
  • Rushing at AK. I am okay with that but I don't want to overwhelm Emily.

So, what do you guys think!???

I'm w/ you in that I'd rather have more Epcot time, if Emily goes for that. Just b/c it takes us 1/2 a day for Future World & 1 full day for World Showcase.[we prefer @ least 1 & 1/2 days in WS] We only need a 1/2 day for AK w/ our itinerary, but still get a lot done. 4 hours is tight, but I think we do 5 hrs. honestly.[not doing every single thing though] My DH is a HUGE animal lover but enjoys Epcot best. Good luck w/ the choice!
