Planning Our Happily Ever After - A Disneymoon PTR! (NEW 7/13 - TR Link!)

I'm definitely with you on wanting the bags completely packed up. It's why I have a travel-specific toothbrush, hairbrush, etc. lol.
Lots of sunscreen is definitely a must!! I always say I can only be two colors... translucently white or BRIGHT red.
The moleskin works great! I hope you won't need it, but if you do, it definitely protects blisters!

Yay! so close!! I can't go into target and come out spending less than at least $200.00!! It's bad!!! I can believe your day is so close so exciting Courtney!!!

As I was reading this latest post and saw those sandals I thought to myself " those will match her pool bag perfectly!" LOL

I have problems with getting blisters as well. Never heard of the moleskin things... Might have to try them out for our september trip.

Buying toiletries is always $ and time consuming... but worth it all in the end.
I hope those white strips work for you! The Up and Up Target brand has many products that we've used and worked as well as other brands. I have super sensitive teeth and I can not use the crest white strips either. You'll have to let me know if they hurt your gums/teeth!

So excited for you that the time is getting so near!!! :) YAY!!!!!! Not much longer!!! :)

You should try the moleskin! I have read really great things about it here. Supposedly you can cut it to any size and shape, so it's a little easier to work with than a band-aid. :thumbsup2

I've done the whitening once now and so far no hurt teeth or gums. :woohoo:

Girl, I do the SAME thing! I always go to Target right before trips and load up on everything! Ha. I get so excited. My mom just laughs at me. =] But I'd rather buy little stuff that I don't mind leaving in the hotel room, than bring fullsize and weigh down my bags!

So exciting that it's getting so close! Woohoo! I've always wanted to read those books.. just have never went and actually gotten them! Have to let me know how they are!

I love the miniature stuff! It's so much fun to buy. :yay: You should definitely try one of the Emily Giffin books. They are all really good. I normally take them on vacations with me (the only time I have to read!) :thumbsup2

I do the same thing, stock up on everything at Target! They have the best selection of travel stuff!

I love those flip flops, they have such cute flip flops at Target! I bought a pair of black glittery ones a few years ago, and I still wear them! :thumbsup2

Target does have a great travel selection! Target has a great selection of everything, though - it's one of my favorite places to go. I got some really cute sundresses there, too. :thumbsup2

I love toiletry shopping for a trip, too! I also used to get excited about back-to-school shopping (but that's probably because I'm a dork  )

Good idea to have separate stuff for the honeymoon bags! Makes a lot of sense to be able to completely pack well ahead of the wedding without worrying about rearranging things.

I liked back to school shopping, too! I always thought it was so fun to get organized for the new year - even when I was in elementary school!

I'm hoping that having two sets of bags packed will make the weekend much smoother. I was talking to my coordinator the other day and she mentioned that packing for the wedding and honeymoon is usually what stresses brides out the most. :scared1:

I have travel-specific things, too! It's so much easier that way. Right now my toiletry bag is about half-packed, but that's its permanent state. I hope that after this trip I can just take it out of the suitcase and put in in the closet for the next trip. :thumbsup2

Those are my two skin colors, too! :lmao: I do not tan at all - I'm either super pale or super burnt. There's no happy medium! :sad2:

Yay! so close!! I can't go into target and come out spending less than at least $200.00!! It's bad!!! I can believe your day is so close so exciting Courtney!!!

Target is like a money-trap! I always find all of these random things I need in there! :sad2:

I can't believe how close your trip is! I hope you have a wonderful time! :goodvibes

DAY 6 & 7 PLANS

Today we are only 3 weeks from our disneymoon! :woohoo: We are getting more and more excited by the day to get back to "our place"! Here's our plans for days 6 & 7 of our trip:

DAY 6

Miguel is really looking forward to day 6 of the honeymoon, because we'll be going to the one place he is really excited to visit for the first time: Blizzard Beach!
e838e7f8.jpg

We are planning to get to the park when it opens at 10 so we can beat the crowds and the extreme heat and find a nice set of chairs. I have a feeling I'll be sitting on the sidelines a bit during this water park visit since it seems that a lot of what BB has to offer are thrill rides. I'm definitely not a thrill seeker, but Miguel sure is! He can't wait to try Summit Plummit and some of the other BB attractions!

We'll eventually want some lunch I'm sure, so we'll grab a bite to eat at one of the BB CS places, and then hit up a few more attractions before returning back to the Poly where we'll enjoy our usual afternoon of relaxing.

Later that evening, we'll head out to a hotel we always like visiting: The Beach Club!

After admiring the beauty of the BC, we'll check in for our dinner ADR at Cape May Cafe - one of our favorites!

After dinner, we'll make the short trek over to the Boardwalk! Neither of us have ever visited this area before, so we are really excited to check it out. Does anyone have any recommendations?

DAY 7

After what will probably be a late night exploring the Boardwalk, I am sure we will be happy that day 7 has no early morning plans! We will sleep in a bit again, and wake up at a leisurely pace. I think this would be an excellent morning to have room service deliver breakfast to our room!

Eventually, we'll head out of the Poly and make our way over to the GF where we'll check into the spa for our couples massage!

After so many days of walking through the parks, I know that massage is going to be relaxing!

After we get rejuvenated, we'll head back to the Poly to change into our park gear, and then we'll head out to DHS!

We will probably have a an hour or so before our dinner ADR, so we'll try to grab some FPs for later in the evening.

At 4:00, we have our very early dinner ADR at Mama Melrose as part of the Fantasmic! package.

After dinner, we'll fit in whatever attractions we can. I know Miguel will definitely be taking a spin on RnRC and ToT!

As night falls, we'll enjoy taking in the atmosphere at DHS at night - my favorite time in the park!

And finally, we'll make out way to the Hollywood Hills theater to see Fantasmic! It will be our first time seeing the show and I can't wait!

At Boardwalk definitely check out Jellyrolls, it is a lot of fun. We are actually staying there in less than a week so I can make some more suggestions when we come back.

Your plans sound good.

Thanks for the tip! I've heard that Jellyrolls is a fun spot. We'll have it keep that in mind while we're at the Boardwalk!

I hope you have a great time on your upcoming trip! :goodvibes

Great plans for days 6 and 7! Blizzard Beach is fun (I liked Typhoon Lagoon better) but it kind of gets old after a while, but I'm not really into water parks anymore! I'm sure Miguel will love it though, Summit Plummit is pretty insane!

I've only been to the Boardwalk once, and it was during the day, but it looks like a lot of fun at night! I've always wanted to go to Jellyrolls!

Oooh, the GF spa! Another thing I'd love to do someday, maybe on an anniversary trip, a couples massage sounds perfect! :)

I love DHS at night too, it's so pretty! We have only seen Fantasmic once, so I'm thinking I might give it another try in October, everyone seems to love it! :thumbsup2

Ooo, we want to visit the Boardwalk for the first time in August! I can't wait to hear how you guys enjoy it!

I need to purchase some of that 'wet' sunblock for the beach!
Your planned days sound great, escpecially the couples massage! :thumbsup2

I'm excited to check it out, too! It's nice to know there is still an entire area of Disney that we haven't even been to yet. :cool1:

I'm sure Miguel will enjoy BB more than me. I can't imagine going on Summit Plummit! It makes me sick to my stomach just thinking about it!

I'm so glad that we experienced an evening at DHS because it really opened my eyes up about the park. It's got a whole different feel to it after the sun sets! I'm really looking forward to seeing Fantasmic! I hope that it's as good as everyone says!

LET THE PACKING BEGIN!

Well, the time has finally come! You know when the suitcases come out that the trip really is coming, and soon! My goal for this past weekend was to get our toiletry bags packed and to at least start laying out some clothes. I am happy to report, that I did just that!

I have been hanging all of my clothes that I've bought for the trip in one of my guest bedroom closets, so no need to gather those up. I did get Miguel's shirts together, though. We did some shopping on Saturday and Sunday and I found some great deals on men's clothes thanks to the Memorial Day sales. I think Miguel is pretty much set clothing wise, so his things can start going into the suitcases at any time!

Here's the line of shirts he'll be sporting on the trip:

And the bottoms, minus a couple of pairs of jeans.

And speaking of Miguel's clothes, we are currently trying to decide what suitcase he will take. I will of course be taking my new set that I bought for Italy, but Miguel doesn't have a newer large suitcase. I have this one, but it kind of bothers me that it looks so beat up! I guess that's what happens when a bag goes through the airport conveyor belts one too many times!

It is nice and roomy, though, so it would definitely hold all of his things.

He'll be taking his smaller suitcase that I got him for his last birthday the the hotel for the wedding.

And speaking of the wedding, I also got Miguel's toiletries together for the wedding weekend. Mine are still a work in progress. They're coming along, though!

I did manage to get both of our honeymoon toiletry bags packed, though, which I am very happy about. These always seem so time consuming, and they always get done at the last minute, so I'm really glad they're out of the way.

I started out by transferring some of the things that I got at Target into the clear bottles that I picked up at the Container Store a few months ago.

I was also really excited to find travel size bottles of my perfume from Victoria's Secret. The larger one will be coming with me on the vacation, and the smaller one is for the wedding day (it's a higher concentrated scent).

And then I pretty much stuffed my bag to the brim!

Miguel's was much easier, thankfully. I managed to get some of my things in there, too!

Overall, it was a pretty productive weekend. Now I just have to tackle the big job: packing all of my clothes!

Blizzard Beach was a lot of fun! Ben did Summit Plummet, but I sat it out (there is an observation point that has a great view- and you can watch people sliding down).
My favorite slide was the Snow Stormer... you use mats instead of tubes and they were really fun (not too scary)! I get nervous on water slides even though I love thrill rides, so I totally understand you not wanting to be too adventurous!

Definitely check out Jelly Rolls! We had a BLAST there! Just be sure to remember to bring cash for tipping if you want to make song requests. Those guys can play anything, and they are hilarious!

I didn't know there was a place to watch the "plummiters" I will definitely have to check that out while Miguel does it. And I'll keep Snow Stormer in mind, too. I am even more of a whimp when you add in water so I need something tame - but still fun! :sad2:

Thanks for the Jelly Rolls tip! I think we will definitely make a stop in there to see what it's all about. :thumbsup2

I love making that trip to Target for any misc. toiletries. Usually the cashier asks me if I'm going on a trip and I love to reply YES!

I love Emily Giffin! Her books are great for "beach reads". I have a few other author suggestions if you like her. As a librarian, I feel like it is my job to help you. :lmao: Let me know if you would like a list!

You should see my Vera Bradley traveler when I go on a trip. It's BURSTING. I think I may use a plastic shoebox container this trip for things such as sunscreen, bandaids, lotion, etc.

That is so exciting that you're packing! Your trip really is getting close! Your update reminded me that I really should start packing soon too, since we leave in 9 days! Ugh, I shudder to think how hard it's going to be to get all of our stuff packed. It looks like you are WAY more organized than us! :rotfl: I usually do my packing the day before I leave. I'm a procrastinator, but it's actually turned into a semi-fun tradition. The day before we leave has become my manicure/pedicure/laundry/packing/watching every Disney parks DVD I own (including the episode of Full House where they go to Disney) day. It's crazy, but it helps me get through the last day of waiting, keeps me busy, and gets me fully immersed in Disney! :thumbsup2

I love Emily Giffin! I have read all her books but I haven't seen the Something Borrowed movie yet. DH doesn't seem to want to see it with me :rotfl:

So organized! :thumbsup2

Wow, the days are really ticking away! I can't believe your so close!

How awesome that you have family so close to me!!

Can I ask where the container store is? I'm always going to Target to buy the little travel size bottles whenever we go somewhere!

Love all the packing plans & photos Courtney!!

We have my cousin & her husband staying with us this weekend.. but after that I will be turning the spare room into 'honeymoon packing' center! Can't wait to get everything out the wardrobes that I've been buying for this trip :cloud9:

17 days to go!!
