Planning Our Happily Ever After - A Disneymoon PTR! (NEW 7/13 - TR Link!)

Wow! Another beautiful shower! I can't wait to hear about the big day!

It was a really lovely afternoon. I can't wait to share all of the wedding pictures here! :goodvibes

Fabulous!!

Was it a coincidence that she already had wedding plates AND that they have 3 children on them?! :rotfl:

Its coming so soon!

Haha! I didn't even notice that! That might be the universe trying to tell me something!

Awww, that was a lovely shower!

The ribbon bouquet is so pretty!

It was! Grandmother is currently trying to "doctor it up a little". I think it photographs better than it looks in person! :lmao:

Looks like you had a great time at both bridal showers!
They look much more 'ladylike' than the hen parties here lol (although mine is a spa day & dinner, so I'm hoping it's not too crazy! ;) ) .. I'd not heard of the ribbon bouquet before, that looks like a nice tradition :goodvibes

Days are going by sooo quickly!! do you have your dress now?

Emma princess: x

Your hen parties sound like our bachelorette parties. Those are a bit more "wild" since it's normally the bride and her bridesmaids/close friends. I chose not to have one since I have such a small bridal party and I'm just not much of a party girl. :confused3 What you have planned sounds great though!

Yes! The dress is in my possession now! I'm going for a fitting on Saturday. :thumbsup2

What a beautiful shower! You look so pretty! I love the wedding china. It's so cute! It looks like you got a lot of great gifts. :thumbsup2

I got so many beautiful things! I feel very lucky, but also a little overwhelmed with what I'm going to do with them all! :lmao:

You look great - I love the dress! It's really great that you were able to have two very different yet equally wonderful showers. I can't believe you're so close to 1 month away...you must be so excited! :)

Thank you! :goodvibes I am getting very excited, but so nervous, too! I feel like there's so much left to do and so little time to do it. :sad2:

The 2nd shower looked like so much fun, the house it was at is so beautiful! I love the punch, what's in it? We never have punch, ever. I mean, not even the cliche high school dance where the punch gets spiked, nothing. :confused3

I can't believe your wedding is SO close! I can't wait!!! I feel like we're all going to be there with you, you've been planning it for so long and it's almost here! It seems like yesterday you were going to look at dresses, and when was that, October or something, right?

I think there was orange juice, pineapple juice, club soda, sherbert and maybe a few other things in the punch. :confused3 I can't believe you all never have punch! Down here we throw it in to any occasion possible! :lmao:

I does seem like yesterday that I was looking at dresses! And it was in October. It's been a lot of fun getting to share my plans with everyone. I can't wait to share the outcome! :goodvibes

Oooooh you got a Keurig. Welcome to the addiction :thumbsup2

I am so excited about it. It was one of my registry must-have's. :thumbsup2

Love the pictures! Sounds like everyone enjoyed the shower.

Thank you! It was a really fun afternoon. :)

Another fabulous shower!!! :goodvibes You're SOOO close now!!! :cloud9:

Yes, so so close! :woohoo: One month exactly, today!

haha total shameless plug... i've finally started a PTR! lol... check it out, I know your super busy, but I feel like i know all these people and i post but i'm like elusive or something... :confused3

thanks!!

Your 2nd shower looked wonderful :) Your hair always looks good! LOL
So glad that you had some wonderful showers and had fun! Looks like you recieved a lot of great things too! I was thankful to get all of my everyday plates, bowls, silverware and glasses along with towels and bed stuff and many other kitchen things at my wedding shower!

P.S. I LOVED POFQ! We definitely didn't have enough time there to be able to enoy everything it had to offer, but it was just wonderful :) We had a view of the river and would have loved to use the boat to DTD.. maybe next time :)
ALSO, I was SO EXCITED because I got to ride the "Tron-orail" LOL I have been wanting to ride it... I know it's nothing special, but I was just so excited and wanted to share! :)

I'm so glad to hear you liked POFQ! Isn't it so cute and quaint and romantic?! :cloud9:

LESS THAN ONE MONTH!

Well, we are officially under one month until the big day and the disneymoon! :woohoo: Today marks exactly four weeks until we arrive at the Polynesian. I am definitely starting to stress a little, so I'm just trying to think about lounging by the Poly pool. It seems to be helping.

I have been super busy this weekend, but thankfully, it's been a productive one. And considering that we now have only 3 weekends left to accomplish things, every weekend needs to be really productive.

Here's what I was able to get marked off the list this weekend and last week:
~ Had my official first fitting for my dress with the seamstress. The dress looks great and the only things that need to be altered are the strap and the hem. :thumbsup2
~ Got my pre-wedding haircut out of the way. I only got a trim since I want to keep it nice and long for the big day.
~ I also scheduled a hair appointment for the Thursday before the wedding for a professional blow dry since my hair person won't do that. I was afraid that flat ironing it might leave it looking limp, so this way there will be some body.
~ Got my eyebrows waxed for my upcoming makeup trial.
~ Ordered all of my swimsuits for the honeymoon.
~ Ordered some shoes for my more dressy honeymoon outfits.
~ Ordered my wedding day and night unmentionables. ;)
~ Got Miguel's wedding band.
~ Made appointments with the DJ and florist for our final meetings.
~ Decided on the songs for our wedding video. I still have to make the CD and send it to the videographer. I'm planning on doing that this week. Here's what we're using:
*Just the Way you Are - Bruno Mars (for the getting ready footage)
*All you Need is Love - Love Actually soundtrack (I envision this playing as I'm walking down the aisle, but we'll see what the videographer decides)
*Heroe - Enrique Iglesias (we're using the Spanish version of Hero as our first dance, so it would be appropriate to have this as one of the songs on the video)
*Maria - Lu (another Spanish love song that is absolutely beautiful. We'll see where he decides to use this)
*Rhythm of Love - Plain White T's ( I thought this was a good, upbeat reception coverage song)
*Come Away with Me - Nora Jones (for out exit footage)
~ I also decided on all of the special songs for the reception
*Bride and Groom Entrance: At Last - Eta James
*First Dance: Heroe - Enrique Iglesias
*Cake Cutting: I Do - Colby Calait
*Bouquet Toss: Haven't Met You Yet - Michael Buble
*Last Dance: Please Don't Stop the Music - Rhianna
~ Ordered a lot of the last-minute decor things that I needed to get taken care of.
~ Got some books for honeymoon.
~ Bought all of the toiletries for our trip and to take to the hotel for the wedding.

And here's what's on the schedule for next week:
~ Meeting with DJ
~ Hair and Makeup Trial
~ Walkthrough at our venue with the DOC and caterer
~ Finish all of my shower thank you cards and mail them out
~ Buy any other honeymoon clothes needed
~ Buy water shoes for the water parks
~ Lay out clothes
~ Start packing!

My head is kind of spinning just thinking about everything! It helps to write it all down though, so if you made it through all of that I appreciate it! I'm sorry there were no pictures in this update, but I promise I have some fun one's coming up this week! I need to share all of the fun things I found on my toiletry shopping trip (I promise I won't just post photos of shampoo!) and I need to do an update on my rehearsal dinner dress, my wedding shoes and jewelry for both. My trip wardrobe update is coming up too - I'm really excited about that one!

I hope everyone has a good week! :goodvibes

YAY 4 weeks till Poly Pool Time :)

I would make a list too- otherwise I am liable to forget something!!!! LOL

I can not wait for the next updates about all the stuff you found, and your rehearsal dress and wedding shoes and such!!!

SO EXCITING!!!! :)

P.S. POFQ was wonderful- I wish we would have had more time there to spend! I have a feeling that we will be going back there to stay on any trips we make just me and DH ;)

Wow, you really did get a lot done! Hope this last month before your wedding flies by, so you can get on with the wedding and disneymoon fun. :)

Wow you have really gotten a lot done! I am sure you will be busy, busy, busy up until your big day! I am so excited for you and have very much enjoyed your wedding/honeymoon Pre-Trip Report, but am looking forward to your honeymoon! I know you and Miguel will have an amazing day and a magical Honeymoon. Can't wait to hear more details! :goodvibes

Definitely sounds like you're prepared for the next couple of weeks! You're so organized! I love your idea of using the Love Actually version of All You Need is Love!
Can't wait to hear about your toiletry shopping! Your Container Store purchases from your Italy trip inspired me (ran out and bought some for myself!), so maybe I'll get inspired again! ;)

You have gotten so much accomplished this past weekend! I just caught up w/ all of the updates I have missed (we were on our vacation may9-17, so it was busy around here to say the least!). Your showers were beautiful! I love the Tiffany theme of your first shower, it was so classy right down to the refreshments. And the southern punch has my mouth watering...recipe please!!
We didn't get a chance to check out the Poly while we were there, just a quick spin by on the monorail on our way to dinner one night, but it looks like a fantastic resort. I thought of your PTR as we zipped by :)

Omg you big day is so close!!! I really can't wait to see pics and read about it when you return!!

And font worry everything will come together and get done on time...

Hi Courtney!

Sounds like a busy but productive weekend! :goodvibes good to hear your dress fits well.. and I love all your music choices too :lovestruc

I find that with every item I tick off my wedding "to do" list, I seem to add another thing onto it! Never mind, 26 days to go now!! :bride:

Emma princess: x

Yay, less than a month, how exciting!!! :cool1:

All of the music you picked sounds great! I think that Bruno Mars song is going to be used a lot this year for weddings! :)

Looking forward to the next few updates! I can't believe this PTR is almost over! But I can't wait to hear about your wedding and the Poly! :woohoo:

Oooh, I love pre wedding stuff! I know you are stressed, but you've got a great handle on things- try to enjoy it!!

I made so many lists leading up to my wedding, it was crazy (especially since I am not usually a list person). But they really do help!

Yay, you are so close!!

You are SOOOO my younger, thinner, better haired, Southern TWIN!!!!! God I love all the lists. Just remember IT WILL GET DONE. I know from experience that if even if life throws you a major curveball (which is won't of course), it will still get done!!!! I am so excited for you!!!!!!

I am so looking forward to that pool time! Everytime I walk past the fountain at work I just close my eyes and imagine it's a waterfall or something. I'm definitely ready for a vacation!

Wow, you really did get a lot done! Hope this last month before your wedding flies by, so you can get on with the wedding and disneymoon fun. :)

Looking back on the list it shows that I was actually more productive than I thought! :lmao: I really wish time would slow down, actually. Well, at least when it comes to the wedding. It can fly by in regards to the honeymoon. I am so ready for that! :woohoo:

Sadly, I feel like there's so much left to do! It's definitely crunch time now. Every day counts!

I'm so glad you've enjoyed the PTR! I've really really enjoyed writing it. It's been so much fun to share the wedding and honeymoon planning. :goodvibes

I'm really hoping my videographer will use All You Need is Love for the ceremony. I think it's kind of unique and unexpected, even if it was done in a movie! :lmao:

I found some really fun stuff on my shopping trip! I can't wait to do that update. :thumbsup2

Welcome home! I hope your trip was wonderful! And I hope you'll be doing a TR. I'll definitely follow along. :goodvibes

My aunt made the punch for the second shower, so I'm not sure exactly what it had in it, but I do know that it had orange juice, pineapple, apple juice, club soda, gingerale and sherbert. :thumbsup2

Omg you big day is so close!!! I really can't wait to see pics and read about it when you return!!

And font worry everything will come together and get done on time...

I so hope they will! I know at this point it's really just the little things that I'm worrying about, but I'm so detail oriented that I make myself believe that the little things are huge! :lmao:

That is so true, Emma! It's like things just keep popping up! I find that when I go to mark something off the list, I remember something that I should have originally had on there and I have to add it.

Yay, less than a month, how exciting!!! :cool1:

Looking forward to the next few updates! I can't believe this PTR is almost over! But I can't wait to hear about your wedding and the Poly! :woohoo:

Thanks for the compliments on the music choices! That was really hard for me for some reason. I debated it for so long!

I can't believe this PTR has been going on for nearly a year! I feel like I still have so many updates left to do, though. I better get busy!

Oooh, I love pre wedding stuff! I know you are stressed, but you've got a great handle on things- try to enjoy it!!

I made so many lists leading up to my wedding, it was crazy (especially since I am not usually a list person). But they really do help!

Yay, you are so close!!

I am normally a list person, so I think I've pretty much gone crazy with them now. I have so many going, plus the permanent list in my head that just keeps growing and growing! :lmao:

I know it will all be worth it in the end, though! :goodvibes

Ooohhh, I'd love to be your twin! :yay:

That's what I keep telling myself - it will get done! I know there's not that much left to do, but for some reason if I'm not doing something I feel like I'm wasting time and that I'm forgetting something. I can't wait to just relax when it's all said and done.

ONE MORE SIGNATURE???

Yes, we might be less than one month away from our trip, but I'm still trying to perfect my itinerary! You might remember that we originally had dinner planned for Teppan Edo the evening after we spend the day at the pool cabana, which is towards the end of our trip. Well, I figured that we might not want to make the trek to a park after lounging by the pool all day, so we decided to cancel TE and save it for another trip. I currently don't have any other plans or another ADR, but I do think I'd like to make one - I really hate not having plans in the evening.

So, all of this coupled with the fact that I bought a really cute sundress this weekend that I really want to wear on the disneymoon has left me wondering if maybe we should add in another signature meal?

Here's what's currently available that night that I'd consider going to:
Artist Point
Yachtsman
Flying Fish
Citricos

Please give me your opinions! If you've had a good (or bad) experience at any of these restaurants, let me know! :goodvibes
