Planning Our Happily Ever After - A Disneymoon PTR! (NEW 7/13 - TR Link!)

Welcome back! So excited to hear all about your trip AND to find out what the Disney touches were!!! :yay:

Welcome back and can't wait to see the pictures!!!

SO excited to hear all about it :yay: <--That is me jumping up and down ;) Happy that you had a great time!

WOW!! You have the cutest travel outfits EVER!!!!! I wish you were in Boston to dress me! I never dress cute when I'm traveling other than in the evening. Now I'm thinking that I should get cuter outfits for Ireland!

Awww, thanks! :goodvibes I really tried to put a lot of thought into my outfits this time. I'm typically a last minute packer so I never end up feeling very cute either - the extra time really helped, though! :thumbsup2

Gosh, o golly...you are ONE EFFICIENT packer :thumbsup2 !! I am utterly speechless and in awe :worship:

Hope you have a WONDERFUL & SAFE trip to Italia....boy, am I envious....Italy is on my BUCKET list.....someday.

TTYS (when you get backl...) ;)

This is definitely the most efficient I've ever been at packing - but it so paid off! I will pack this way from now on! :thumbsup2

You did a great job with the outfits! Everything looks so pretty!

Have a wonderful, pixie-dust filled, safe trip!!!

Thank you so much! :goodvibes

Oh my gosh, I love all your outfits! And I especially love that you planned them to match your Veras! :lmao: Fabulous job organizing everything! You are going to have a wonderful time; bring us LOTS of pics!!!

I find theming my wardrobe to my hipsters works out so well. It was nice having two different purses too, so that I could utilize two color schemes.

And I definitely took tons of pictures! :yay:

I could learn a lot about packing from you! You've inspired me for my next trip :)

Have a fantastic time in Italy. I'm so excited to hear all about it!

I got all of my packing inspiration here! And it was so worth the time and effort - it made traveling a breeze! I would definitely recommend the Ziplock method. :thumbsup2

Wow and I thought I was organized when I pack! I like that ziplock idea, I might have to try that...:rolleyes1

Your outfits are so cute! I love how your VB bags match the outfits! :cool1:

Have a great time in Italy! I can't wait to see pictures and hear about your adventures!!! :dance3:

You must try the Ziplock's! I have never felt so organized on vacation before - it was wonderful. I'll never travel without them again. :goodvibes

Just found this PTR and I'm so in... congrats on all the pixie dust that's been sprinkled on you! Have fun in Italy, I'll be catching up on my reading while you're away! :surfweb:

:welcome: Thanks for joining in!

Ahhhh Italy! Have a blast :)

Where did you get those purses? Are they Vera Bradley?

Thanks! And yes, both purses are VB! :goodvibes They are great travel bags!

Haha, I can answer this one: YES! Both Hipsters, one in the retired Mediterranean White pattern, the other in the newer Make Me Blush pattern. Both just darling.

I work in a VB store, so of course I have an addiction (luckily it doesn't conflict with my Disney addiction - it just means I pack more vibrantly!), but it's always great fun to see others who appreciate the bags, too!

Speaking of packing, I love this idea of having everything separated out by day, but I know I'm too fickle to stick to which outfit goes with which day - and what do you do if the weather is unseasonal one way or the other?! Haha i'm the over-packer extraordinaire because I always feel like I need a contingency plan. Let us know how this works out for you in Italy!!!

What fun to work at VB! The bag method worked out so well! I did take extra clothes just incase I needed any back ups. I had two Ziplocks filled with extra shirts so I could change them out if If it was colder than expected (which never happened! :lmao:). I also took a wide variety of bottoms, too for the same reason. The only time I ended up changing the bottoms out from what I had planned was the one day it rained in Venice and I wanted to wear capris instead of shorts.

Sorry i've been gone for a bit... Life's been too busy! BUT I am back now :) YAY!
Have fun on your trip! Can not wait to hear all about it and see pictures!
Your hair is so long! I haven't cut mine in forever and it just doesn't seem to want to grow! lol
Maybe the Tevas will be better while in Italy. Let me know *** I am needing to research new shoes for when we go this October.

I know exactly what you mean about being busy! As for the Tevas, they worked out well as dinner shoes, but that was the only time I wore them. My new Ecco's (the tan colored ones) however, were phenomenal! My feet tire so easily and I can honestly say my feet did not hurt on this trip. After two great pairs of Ecco's I'm definitely sticking to that brand. :thumbsup2

Wow!! Awesome packing skills! I'm super impressed! I also love your Make me Blush hipster-- that was the only pattern I liked from the summer. It's so pretty and girly. I also love your Vatican City shirt-- the blue is such a nice color!
Have a fantastic trip!!

Thanks! :goodvibes I felt the same way about the summer patterns. I'm glad there was one in there I liked though - it was a lot more fun with two hipsters! ;)

I know you won't be reading this until you get back but WHERE DO YOU SHOP?! I love all of your clothes. They are definitely all things I would wear! :)

Hope you are having a great time.

Haha! Some of my favorite stores are New York & Company, Ann Taylor Loft and H&M. That's where the majority of my clothes for this trip came from. :thumbsup2

Holy cow, you did a great job packing! Love the outfits! I like to buy new things for trips, but I never seem to be that good at packing 'outfits' that I like. It also never occurs to me to accessorize, so I am jealous of you style abilities!

Have a blast in Italy, can't wait to hear all about it!

Thanks! I normally don't pack in outfits. I always intend to but I end up packing last minute. :sad2: Normally I just bring along x number of shirts, x number of pants... This method worked great though! :thumbsup2 It made getting ready in the morning so simple.

I love the new outfits, especially that you were able to create so many different looking outfits to go with each purse - I love how you've been able to choose a different outfit to compliment all the colors found on each purse.

I really love coordinating my outfits based on my purses - it makes it so easy to develop a cohesive theme. :thumbsup2 Now I think I just need a new hipster for my November color scheme...;)

How CUTE are your outfits?! Just love them all! Especially the bright blue top with the pom pom "puffs" on top....where did you get that? Your new Vera is to die for!

I am SO excited to see all of your pictures. Hope you have a GREAT trip!

Thanks, Katie! :goodvibes The bule shirt came from a store called Charming Charlie. It's pretty new here in Atlanta so I don't know if they have other stores around the country. :confused3 It's an amazing place, though - it's like accessory heaven! :rotfl:

Holy organization Batman! Thats awesome!

Those are such CUTE outfits! I can't wait to hear all about Italy! :goodvibes

Thank you! Organization was definitely the theme for this trip! :lmao:

OH MY GOODNESS ! Girl, you did quite a bit of shopping! I love all the new outfits!

Hope you're having a great time in Italy! Can't wait to hear all about it and see some amazing pictures.

I think I did a little too much shopping! :rolleyes1 It was fun though! I really enjoyed taking the time to put the outfits together. I think I've finally cured my last-minute-packingits. :rotfl:

I'm all caught up....I have been off the DIS for a few weeks and boy was I behind!

Love your hair curly.....and you have great taste in clothes...your outfits are very stylish...and how organized are you with your packing - WOW!! :worship:

 I love the enthusiasm! I had an absolutely wonderful time! :goodvibes

If I went to Italy, I would spend half my time sightseeing, half eating, and half shopping. I know that adds up to three halves. I'd be multitasking!

OH my gosh! I was JUST in a Charming Charlie's in Houston. It was AH-Mazing! I found it at my last stop on the trip (and already spent too much money) so I would have bought more. I got a white watch and a teaching bracelet (with a teaching saying on it).

 Well I definitely did a lot of eating and a lot of sightseeing! I didn't get to do too much shopping, unfortunately. :sad2:

I can't believe you were just at Charming Charlie! The first time I went in one I was literally in shock! I was like - I don't know where to start! :lmao: I probably spent two hours in there buying stuff for my trip!

Glad you had a great time in Italy! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Thank you! :goodvibes I'm starting my mini-TR tonight!

Welcome home! :goodvibes

Thanks! :goodvibes

I just looked up Charming Charlie's and found that there are TWO in Illinois. One in the mall about 15 minutes from my house. That HAS to be new! I mean I know I don't go to the mall that often-but still

This is kind of OT but you mentioned that you lived near Atlanta. How is it there? My DH and I are trying to pick a few places in the US for potential cities he can look for jobs in. I would love to be in the south, actually. Georgia, Virginia and North Carolina are our top picks right now. It is just so darn expensive to live in IL, you wouldn't believe it! He's been applying for new jobs like crazy here. He can't apply until November for out of state jobs as he is finishing his MBA in early December and needs to stay in IL to finish school. I've heard the teaching market is decent in Georgia-at least it was a few years ago. Which would be a plus for me as I have my degree in teaching and would hopefully be able to find something as well. We just want something different. Any info you can give would be great! :) You could always pm me and I could give you my email address/facebook so we can chat. :)

MY ITALIAN ADVENTURE PT. 1 - Arrival and Venice

Since this is just a mini-TR, I'll try to keep it short and sweet! I won't go into too much detail, but I'll definitely be posting lots of pictures! I hope this "Disney Departure" won't bore any of you!

So, our lovely Italian vacation started off with some awesome seats in the business elite section of our plane. It was so nice! The room was so spacious. It definitely made the 10 hour flight a little more tolerable. Our seats would lay down to mimic a bed and we each had our own TV with lots of movies, tv shows, games and music.

They started us off with our choice of champagne, mimosas, or orange juice.

Pretty soon after take-off, it was time for dinner! Like any good DISer, I of course had to take pictures of my food! I swear all they did was feed us!

After the meal (which was surprisingly really good) I watched some movies, read some, and tried (unsucessfully) to fall asleep. Soon enough, it was time for breakfast! Sorry for the bad lighting! Some people on the plane were still asleep so it was kind of dark.

And then finally we landed! We had a car arranged to take us to the water taxi stand (so neat to take a water taxi!), which then took us to our lovely hotel. It was of course right on the water and had beautiful views of the Grand Canal! Here's some pictures of the room.

All of our hotels had the most beautiful chandeliers!

The bathroom at this hotel was huge!

The first night, we mostly just wondered around the city doing some exploring and had dinner.

The second day we had a walking tour of the city which took us to St. Marco's Square. Isn't this in the Italy Pavillion at Epcot?!

The oldest church in Venice (Sorry, forgot the name)

And the old Italian Parliment building (forgot the name of that one too). And apparently didn't take any pictures - sorry!

Later on that night, we took a Gondolah ride through the city. This was probably my favorite thing of the entire trip. Venice is so beautiful and picturesque.

The following day we went to the Isle of Murano, which is famous for their glass factories. We got to tour a factory and see how they blow and form the glass - it was so interesting!

Can you tell what this is supposed to be?

It's a whale!

After returning from Murano we did some souvie shopping and had dinner before returning to the hotel to pack up to head out to Florence the following day!

How exciting you're considering Georgia! I have lived here all my life (with the exception of a semester in college in Orlando of all places!) and I absolutely love it. I think Atlanta is the perfect mix of quaint southern life and big city life. I live in a suburb about 15 miles north of downtown, which is super convenient to everything. I've also lived downtown though, and I loved that too. What line of your work does your DH do, or is hoping to do? There's definitely a lot of big companies here in Atlanta - Coke, NCR, Home Depot... I actually had a pretty easy time finding a job. I would definitely recommend living here! And I'll pm you with my email! Once I get my FB reactivated we must be FB friends. :goodvibes

Oh, and you should definitely go check out that Charming Charlie! It's an amazing store! :thumbsup2

Wow, business elite looks so posh! That food actually looks really really good-- glad it tasted good, too!
That hotel is gorgeous-- what a bathroom! That picture of you and your grandmother is really lovely-- you ladies both look beautiful!
