Planning Our Happily Ever After - A Disneymoon PTR! (NEW 7/13 - TR Link!)

I have never seen Nemo or FOTLK either!!! It's definitely on my must do list for my November trip! :rotfl: As is TSM! I can't wait to finally see what the big deal is about this attraction! :cool1:

You will LOVE the Osborne lights, they are amazing!!! :lovestruc Be prepared to spend more time there than you think you will need, there is just so much to look at, I love them! I can't wait to see them again, November needs to hurry up and get here!!! :woohoo:

Woo hoo for getting your AP! :woohoo: I love your list of things you're looking forward to. You will love Osborne lights!!! :lovestruc

i'd love to see the osbourne lights some day! I just recently learned what they were to be honest! They look so cool!

I think we're really going to enjoy the Osborne lights! I remember seeing them on the HGTV Disney holiday special and thought they were amazing! I'm sure in person will be even better! :goodvibes

All of what you mentioned are :thumbsup2 as First Time plans.....and just think, when you get back from your European vacation, you'll be closer to THREE months away from WDW!! :rotfl:

That's what I keep telling myself - as soon as I get back from Italy it will be time to countdown one more month for each of our trips! :woohoo:

You will love FOTLK. It's so impressive, and lots of fun too! I can't believe you've never done TSM!

I'm jealous of you going in November...it's a GREAT time of the year to go. Great weather, crowds are so-so, and you can see the Christmas stuff. Good idea :)

Our first trip to Disney we skipped DHS all together, and then on our second trip we only spent a few hours there. I'm not sure what our excuse was for January! :lmao: But either way I'm really excited to try TSM!

Oh my gosh, you are going to LOVE the Osborne lights! I haven't been during that time of year in over 10 years :sad2: but I remember them so clearly and they are amazing!!! :goodvibes I've got to find a way to go over the holiday season again... SOON! :lmao:

I'm so excited to see them! I was really sad that we missed them on our January trip (they were still up for part of the time we were there) so I'm glad we're making up for that now! :goodvibes

I love all the new things you want to try. :thumbsup2

All this AP talk makes me want to buy one. :rotfl2:

You should so get an AP with your two trips planned! ;)

FOTLK made me tear up. It is just amazing! It's just so Disney. I want to see Nemo on this trip, hopefully we'll be able to time it correctly.

We had planned on making DHS for rope drop to ride TSM one morning on our last trip but we didn't b/c we were able to fit it in on one of their PM EMH. I am not a morning person.

The Osbourne Lights are amazing but SO crowded! The fake snow was awesome!!

Have fun in Italy! I can't wait to hear all about it when you return! :)

I can definitely see myself tearing up at FOTLK, too! I know we're going to love it. Lion King is Miguel's favorite Disney movie - I can't believe we've never seen it before!

I had no idea they did fake snow for the Osborne lights! Now I'm really excited! :yay:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who's never seen the AK shows or ridden TSM! I hope we both accomplish our missions!

How long would you say you spent looking at the lights? And yes, November can't get here fast enough! :goodvibes

Woo hoo for getting your AP! :woohoo: I love your list of things you're looking forward to. You will love Osborne lights!!! :lovestruc

Thanks! I think an AP is a nice way to celebrate four months to go!

TSMM is AWESOME!! Definitely position yourselves at the front of that rope! We stayed at POR our last trip-- sooo romantic! Definitely take time to walk around and explore!

Great countdown and first ever lists. I have never seen FOTLK either...next trip though. Have a great time in Italy! Loking forward to seeing your pictures and hearing all about it.

You seriously have so much to look forward to over the next year...how exciting!

I think you'll love the Lion King! I have never seen Nemo...always wanted to, but in the end, we went back to Lion King :)

As crazy as this sounds, one of my favorite times during our Disney trips is the mad dash to Toy Story Mania. You absolutely have to be there early, and it is so fun to watch people planning their strategies on the best way to get there. I laugh the entire way there. I guess it makes me think back to my earliest Disney trips when we would RUN to Splash Mountain!

And the Osbourne Lights were one of my very favorite parts about going to WDW at Christmas time. I hope you love them as much as I do:goodvibes

 We're definitely going to have to come up with a TSM strategy! And I'm so looking forward to exploring POR! :cloud9:

Thanks! There are lots of other firsts I would like to try, but some of them will have to wait until the disneymoon since this trip will be so short! I hope we can at least accomplish those 4 things though! :goodvibes

I do! I'm feeling very lucky right about now! :goodvibes I'm really looking forward to FOTLK and TSM! I'm thinking the mad dash is going to be a fun adventure for us!

Your hair looks great curly! Does your hair grow fast? You should definitely look in to donating it, if it does! Locks of Love is a great, great charity!!

I LOVE the lights at DHS! I stood there just watching them for over an hour!!

Darn it...I missed the last update with a shout out to me and everything :rotfl2: Hope you are having a lovely time in Italy and can't wait for more updates when you get back!!!

Oh and about your hair

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Seriously when did you cut it last???? Aisling is growing hers for Locks for Love. I'm terrified about brushing it for as long as it takes to get it 10 inches!

Thank you! You know, I'm not sure if my hair grows fast or not. :confused3 It's mostly that I just never get it cut. I always wear it up so I don't really notice it until it's too late. I had no idea I was going to end up getting so much taken off - if I ever do that much in the future I will definitely look into Locks of Love! :goodvibes

No worries! I'm still here! I leave tomorrow - I'm about to do my final update now. :goodvibes

I seriously don't remember the last time I had my hair cut - it's been that long. :sad2: It could very well have been a year. How sweet that Aisling is going to do Locks of Love! :lovestruc

ITALY HERE I COME!

Well, the time has come! This will be my last update before I jet off to Italy. I’m actually really looking forward to the 10 hour plane ride so I can hopefully get some sleep! I’m pretty exhausted! I’ve been packing all day today, and have been doing “packing prep” for nearly a month!

So, I though it only fitting that my last update before Italy would be to show you all how my packing efforts are coming along!

I started shopping for this trip over the 4th of July weekend and managed to score some great deals because of that! Almost everything I’m taking on this trip is new. (I know I’m not the only one that does that…right?)

At that point, I also started putting together various different outfits. I thought it would help to photograph them so I would remember a month later (AKA today) what I was planning on taking. So over the course of about 4 photo sessions, I was able to photograph all of my outfits for the trip. It was a bit tedious, but it really paid off in the end. I didn’t have to occupy a spare bed for a month to lay them all out. Instead, I could just put them back in their bags and refer to my pictures later.

I’m doing the same thing I did for our January Disney trip and using my Vera Bradley hipsters to create my color scheme. This time though, I’ve got two hipsters, so two color schemes. I’ll be alternating them each day.

So, here’s my Italy wardrobe!

I also decided to use the ziplock bag method that is so popular here on the boards to pack my clothes. I used a separate bag for each day that has my shirt for the day, underwear, a pair of socks, and my jewelry. I didn’t include pants since that would have been kind of bulky. Instead, I wrote on the bag the bottoms I will be wearing with that particular outfit. I also labeled the bags by date – so there will be no guessing each day what to wear – it has already been decided!

I also did the same with my “dinner clothes”. I didn’t assign them a particular day, though. Instead, I just named them dinner one, two, etc.

Here's a few of my dinner outfits.

The bags, and my pants, and fit really nicely into my suitcase! I’ve still got lots of room left over!

I’ve also got my toiletries packed up in this neat toiletry case from Land’s End. This is my first time to use it and so far I love it! I was able to fit everything – except my bar of soap – in the bag. It’s got tons of compartments to keep everything organized.

The side pockets are great for medicines.

And the upper pouch holds all my makeup nicely

I’ve still got to pack a carry on bag, but for the most part – I’m ready to go! This is definitely the most organized packing job I’ve ever done, and I must say – it’s so worth it! I feel so much better going into a trip with a nice organized suitcase.

So, DIS friends – I’ll “see” you all in two weeks! I can’t wait to share my pictures and stories from Italy with you all when I return!

WOW!! You have the cutest travel outfits EVER!!!!! I wish you were in Boston to dress me! I never dress cute when I'm traveling other than in the evening. Now I'm thinking that I should get cuter outfits for Ireland!
