Did anyone point out the obvious yet? Reedy Creek is a special taxing district created by the towns located within the racing district boundaries. The town are themselves Disney controlled. BUT the two towns outsourced the entirety of the towns responsibility to Reedy Creek. It was the layer by which Disney could ascertain they maintained control of Reedy Creek. If Reedy Creek dissolves and isnt reconstituted by the property owners of Lake Buena Vista and Bay Lake then the property owners of the town become responsible for the operation costs of their towns. The unincorporated areas of Reedy Creek will fall under the county in which the area lays.
In any event Disney has said they will continue to make the debt payments. Not because they are nice but because their personal bond rating will tank if the company tries to walk away.

At some point when it is not news worthy Burbank and Florida will have a sit down, rules will be explained, lanes will be drawn, and Disney will have to make sure the new CEO known how to color in the line and this will all go away…

I think your mistake is assuming the CEO is running the company. He isn't.

Some of what I have read also indicated that there were things within the current situation that simply didn’t need to be there any more and this will give them a way to update it based on today.

So, I definitely think we will see another type of district created that balances things out a bit more.

I agree. We will see a modified version of what they currently have. I think in the end disney will still maintain itself but they will not have the self governing freedom they now have - it will be modified.

I think if you look at this through my preferred political lens, the guys who I don’t like are going to come out worse in this.

Not even remotely sure what that means but the only two sure things in life are death and change….

One way or another something will change… we can lose sleep over it or deal with it
