Thanks! I've been on vacation so I bumped it so I would remember to make a few new pages.

Here is how I print these pages...open up a word document and set the top and bottom margins to .25, the left margin to .5 and right margin to "0". When a popup opens up and says "...outside of printable area..." click on "ignore". I left enough white space around the image that you won't have any problems printing this out. Then copy and paste the image into word. Click on the image and go to "format" then "picture" and change the height size to 10.5 and hit your "tab" key and it will automatically fix the width. The click okay. If you need to click on the image and click on the "align right" button in your toolbar at the top of the page.

Just a reminder for how I print these pages...open up a word document and set the top and bottom margins to .25, the left margin to .5 and right margin to "0". When a popup opens up and says "...outside of printable area..." click on "ignore". I left enough white space around the image that you won't have any problems printing this out. Dolly,
Just found this thread. thanks for continuing it for us. I love the journal idea. Any other sheets to put in it will be appreciated.:)

I need a cover sheet if possible.:)

I liked the castle, but don't know if you can use her design.
I am sure you have some great ideas. If not the castle, maybe something along the anniversary line like Lady and the Tramp or bride and groom Mickey and Minnie etc.
I need one for our 25th Anniversary Trip in May of 2010.
If you wanted to personalize it, it is Jerry and Lee.

We are celebrating with a few friends, so if you do personalize one, could you do one generic or saying something like Celebrating Jerry and Lee's 25th Anniversay at Walt Disney World. Or what ever sounds best.

I would like to do journals for everyone going with us. Some it will be their first trip.

Thanks

For anyone that may need a cover page...here is bkanerva's (the original designer) blank cover pages for 2009 and 2010. Copy and paste the image into a word document. It will only take up about 2/3 of the page so you will be able to type your familie's (or another familie's) information below the picture.

If you want to use the "Disney" font it is called "waltograph" and here is how you can download it for free to your computer:

• Go online to www.dafont.com
• Search, find and open a font called “Waltograph”
• Click on the “Download” button
• Then click on “Open”
• Next you will need to unzip the file. In most computers, a screen will pop up with a box on the left that says “folder tasks” and in the box click on “extract files” Follow the prompts by clicking “next” and “finish” making sure that the final box has a check mark next to “show files”
• A new box will pop up. In this box, copy “Waltograph42” and “WaltographUI”. Do this by holding down your “control” button on the bottom left corner of your keyboard and click each file. Then on the top of the screen click on “edit” and in the drop down box click on “copy”.
• Next click on your computers “Start” button
• Then click on “Settings”
• Then click “Control Panel”
• Then open the file that says “Fonts”
• At the top of the font screen click on “Edit” and then in the drop down menu click on “Paste”
Now the correct font will show up when you open these files. Otherwise, your computer will choose a similar font but it may not be centered or fit the image correctly.

Hope this helps!

Dolly
Thank you so much!!! This is exactly what I needed to finish the kids journals for our WDW and cruise!!!:goodvibes
The instructions are invaluable to us computer-challenged folks!!!

Oh my gosh, Thank You so much Dolly:hug:

I was able to do the cover for our 25th Anniversay journals for myself and the friends going with us.

I would not have been able to do it without your expert detailed instructions.
They were wonderful and so appreciated.:yay:

Dolly,

I love these ideas! Any chance you feel like tackling them yourself? I love the daily checklist and list of important numbers.

Also, a few pages back there was a pre-trip planning page. Would you or someone else be able to do one for those of us who drive down? Without flight info but with hotel info instead.

I flipped through your photobucket, you make such cute things! I'm a MOPS mentor and I love the idea of having a topic of traveling with kids - we have LOTS of experience with that. I'm calling our leader today with that one!

Oh yes that would be great. Half of our group is driving down and the other half is flying. A driving sheet would be great. Maybe a place to list hotels on the way or route directions.

How is this? I think for route directions the best is to use www.mapquest.com or whatever is your favorite direction site and print their directions to add to the binder.

Just in case you haven't run across these two threads...you need to check them out:

1. what do you make thread, although it sounds like you are already making a lot! But just in case you have a few weeks before the trip and need to make one more thing.
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2179996

2. if any of your friends are driving to WDW...you definitely need to check out this thread as it is full of travel games and ideas:

I know your trip will be magical with all you are doing to make it special!!!

Thanks for the links, I will check them out.

I have a rather strange request.

Could you make a planning sheet that has a place for emergency contacts name and phone number, drs. name and numbers and a place to list drugs and their dosage?(like 6 or so drugs) Maybe even a spot for allergies.

We have a couple in our group with medical problems, including just finishing chemo. So this would be good to have. Even those that are just on blood pressure meds or something we would have no idea of their meds or their drs if something happened.:confused3

I hope it doesn't but after traveling with my elderly parents for several years, I know how valuable a list like that can be if someone gets sick or in a accident.

If you can't figure it out that's ok. I just thought it would be a good one to list. Maybe others out there have medical issues or travel with parents or grandparents too.

Thanks

I think it is a good idea. I'm a firm believer that if you have it...you won't need it! So here you go...now you won't need it if everyone takes the time to fill it out. ;)

Here is how I print this page...open up a word document and set the top and bottom margins to .25, the left margin to .5 and right margin to "0". When a popup opens up and says "...outside of printable area..." click on "ignore". I left enough white space around the image that you won't have any problems printing this out. Thanks That is great

I think I can get everyone to fill them out. They know I am a firm believer in this, or at least those that don't will soon:rotfl:

Oh yeah, I guess I forgot to add that! lol! The cover with Castleman Family on it? BTW, I just wanted to say that you are extremely talented and very generous. I was just looking around here as a newb for generic planning page ideas and feel very lucky that someone shared this link with me!
