Hi! Planning a trip for the summer as we want to see Wishes and Fantillusion, thinking of going Sun 24 - Wed 27Aug as summer season ends 26 Aug. Is this going to be REALLY crowded??

We last went to DLP in May 2006, and went to Florida last year, so we know how to use FPs etc. What time are Wishes and Fantillusion usually on??

Hoping to get some free Eurostar tix as DH uses it a lot for business!

Regards
Michelle

It is still the school holidays in the UK so I would imagine it will still be quite busy. I have been in September and it was busy.

Yes - the end of the summer season is still very busy.

If it is an option, it is an idea to go at the very beginning of the summer season - we have done this a few times, ie, 2 nights in out of summer season, and 2 nights in the summer season. the crowds do get busier, but not hugely, and you still benefit from being able to see fantillusion and wishes - plus the price isn't too bad from what i remember.

Hi

we went to DLP in August 2004 roughly around the same time(August BH).

From what I can remember it was busy on the BH but after that it did seem to quieten down. It wasn't mega quiet but not really busy. After the BH most rides had a short waiting time or where walk on. We're planning to go in August this year from the 24th to the 28th!! Just make sure you plan your days and use your Fast Pass tickets.

Hope this helps.

Hi there,

I just booked a trip from Sweden for the week of September. I thought that
it might be quieter then. Or will it be busy then? I'm be there between
September 8 and 9th, when I'll be going to the park. I'll have a two day
pass, which is included in the trip.

My understanding from a friend of mine is that the weather is very good at
that time of year.

But do English people still hava a holiday at this time of year? Or do you
think it'll still be quieter, since it'll be Monday and Tuesday? I really don't
want to be a burdon for the bus company, since I just rebooked the trip,
the last one being the week of May 25th.

What do you think? Would the week after be quieter, or does it matter?

Ironilcally, school starts around this time for the USA and most of Europe.
Sweden starts the third week of August.

English & Welsh state schools will all have started back by that date. It will be the first or second week of school so relatively few people will go to Disneyland then.
I believe that Scottish & Northern Irish schools start a week or so earlier - so all of the schoolchildren in the UK should be in school - leaving the Park nice and clear for you!

Thanks for the info! I am certainly a planner and DH loves Fast Pass!:dance3:

I'm relieved!!

Thanks for the information! I'm glad the crowd will be smaller
by then, so I can enjoy being at the parks!

:cool1:

Nice to see you again!! :wave2: and good luck for the Eurostar tickets!! :thumbsup2

We've been twice in August and although busy it's certainly manageable, especially as you've been before and know the park layout etc. I always think the longer hours make up for the crowds. :goodvibes

From memory, I think Fantillusion is normally about 10.30pm and Wishes about 11.15pm.
