Hello everyone My name is Melissa and I am planning a Disney fairytale wishes wedding for May 2013. Yes its a while from now but from what everyone else has said it is never too early to start planning. Let me start from the beginning. First of all my fiance is amazing. We have only been dating for a short amount of time but I have known him for four years and he is my best friend. He has stayed by me for so long and has always tried dating me but I would always say no. :) Finally after a while I decided to see what happens and it was the best decision I have ever made. A short five months later while he was doing his college program at Disney he proposed to me at Cinderella's castle! :lovestruc One of the best days of my life and I will never forget it. We are huge Disney fans and knew from the beginning that a Disney wedding would be perfect for us. I was reluctant because I knew that a fairytale wedding could be very expensive but thanks to fellow DISboards I've come to realize I can have my wedding at Disney and stick to the minimum costs and still have an amazing wedding. We are looking at only having about 30 or 40 guests so I know we can make it happen. I was hoping it wasnt too early to call the Disney crew but they told me it was too early to be pencilled in for my date I want. We have chosen May 2013 because I have been accepted into nursing school and will be done that May so we would like to get married right after I graduate. I have seen so many Disney ideas and would like any advice for planning a wishes wedding and any cool ideas people have come up with. I have already started planning some things but it is very little. So much more to think of :) I'm excited to be part of the Disboards and look forward to talking to fellow Disney Fairytale Brides!!

Welcome to our big happy disboards family! Your correct, its never too early to get started planning! Congrats on nurisng school, can't wait to hear more about your planning process!:wizard:

Thanks so much! Question how do you post pictures from the computer and get a ticker?? There are so many cool things to do on here but I cant seem to figure it out :)

You have to wait until you have a certain number of posts to add pictures (to make sure you're not a spambot)

Create a Trip Report in the Planning forums, that's where you would share your story, write about your planning process, etc! :thumbsup2

CONGRATS, I can't wait to read along and her about your plans!! I started March 2010 right after DF and I got engaged to plan our Disney Wedding for June 18th, 2012. Time is flying by and good thing your starting now. When I first started everyone at stores and such looked at me like crazy cause I was planning for my wedding in 2012.

Now I'm glad I had that extra time to do things that I did back then.

To post photos you must first get a photobucket account and upload them there. Once you do that you can copy the IMG code and paste into your post.
