Planning help needed

ello everyone,

I have been wracking my brain for two days and I cannot get through to member services - 25 minutes on hold when I was told it would be 8 minutes!

I am hoping all the experts out here can review and advise.

Here is my rundown:

1st contract - 60 points banked in from 09 to 10 - total in 2010 = 120 pts.

2nd contract - 99 points banked in from 09 to 10 - total in 2010 = 309 pts.

Need 2 nights DLH at DLP = 152 points

Need 2 nights at Royal Garden in London but have to book 2 rooms - 75 pts. each room each night = 300 points

I was told I cannot combine contracts SO:

Can I book - 2 nights at DLP - take 120 points from 10 and borrow 32 from 2011 leaving me with 28 points in 2011 AND

Book 2 nights at RG - taking 300 points from 2010 and banking 9 points into 2011.

Leaving me with 247 points total in 2011?

Do you mean you have two memberships or just one membership with two contracts?

I am not understanding you're being told you can't combine.

We have two contracts under the same names - one for 60 points use year Feb. and one for 210 points use year March.

I asked if I could take all the points in my Feb. use year contract and move them into my Mar. use year contract and I was told no because there are banked points in it.

As long as I use all the banked points by the end of 2010 it shouldn't be a big deal but they say I can't move them all into one contract.

Ok. Yes, the scenario you have written out will work.

One other one that would leave you with no points to bank and borrowing only 23 is the following:

First - MS can transfer your unbanked 2010 points.

You could book the DLP under your March UY:

309-152=157 2010 points to transfer to your Feb UY.

That gives you 60 banked 2009 pts. + 60 2010 points + 157 Mar 2010 points =277. Use those plus borrow 23 2011 points for the 300 total needed for RG.

This ought to work and will prevent you from having banked point to worry about using.
