Planning Help Needed

We will be in Orlando from Dec. 22nd thru Jan. 2. We will arrive mid afternoon on the 22nd, but can't check in until 4PM at the Condo. Would a few hours in the evening (say 5 PM thru closing)give us enough time to see the Osborne Lights? Will we be able to get in the park that late due to the holiday crowds? Dec. 23rd is day we would like to do the Candlelight Prosessional dinner pkg. On the 24th Christmas Eve we want to be at the Magic Kingdom Park for MVMCP with Dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern prior to the party. Does my plan sound feasible depending on the dates that Disney sets for these events?

This leaves us with New Years Eve. Which park should we plan to be at for the best New Years Eve fireworks celebration?

We will be using Park hopper tickets. Should I go ahead and purchase those now while waiting for the Event tickets to go on sale?
