I'm planning a shoe string budget trip and need expert food help. I've got 4 park days. I need suggestions for the best cheapest counter service in each park. I'm doing only 3 park dinners, and I'd like to try to do some less expensive table service. Suggestions? Trip is likely to be in November, and during *gulp* Thanksgiving week.

We like Casey's at MK for counter service. I don't know if it is the cheapest, but we love those dogs :lovestruc

Try Pecos Bill's in Frontierland in the Magic Kingdom. It is not necessarily cheap, but get the chicken wrap and it will easily serve two, which makes it less expensive. The wraps are absolutely huge and in my opinion they are wonderful. Other than that I am going to have to think about this one...cheap food pretty much doesn't exist in WDW!

At Epcot, the Land pavillion's foodcourt was recently redesigned to have more of a focus on healthy foods. I did not eat there, but my DH and I walked through and thought it looked good. There was a salad station, a soup station, sandwiches, fruit, etc. Everything seemed fresh.

At Animal Kingdom, I would recommend Tusker House. They have a nice rotisserie chicken, wrap sandwiches, etc. Flame Tree barbeque is good too.

I am not big on the food at MGM, but will tell you that every time I have eaten at the ABC commissary it has been awful. So, maybe avoid that one.

:cool1: We like to bag lunch. You can eat in line, it is cheap. We bring snacks to eat during appropriate shows, drinks etc. (As you go the bag gets lighter/ also disney security etc has never had a problem allowing it) Then when we are tired and need to rest we have a nicer dinner usually at one of the hotels we are not staying at. If you want to dine in the parks grab dinner at a sit down restaurant and relax!! Tip: Before we lived here we got a frig or brought a cooler for our lunches. If dad doesn't want to carry the backpack hang it on the stroller or make everyone carry their own individually wrapped! Just a thought or two!!! :Pinkbounc
