Planning for MNSSHP

I'm looking at the 2002 dates for the party, and I'm wondering if they were typical of years past...

Last year, they had a party on the 3rd and 5th Thursday, the 2nd and 4th Friday, and the 3rd and 4th Sunday. (plus the 1st Friday in November)

This year, the 31st is on a Friday - so should we expect 3 parties on Friday's? What about Thursday - will there still be two of those - or did they have two last year only because the 31st fell on one?

Finally - have they ever had any parties on Saturday's?

I'm waiting on the dates for this year's MNSSHP too! And I really hope there's one on Oct 17!!!

We'll be there that week and hoping for some good weather!!

I found these dates with a link that someone posted on here a while back. Don't know if they are official but this is what I wrote down: Fri. 10/10, Thurs. 10/16, Fri. 10/24, Sun. 10/26, Thurs. 10/30, Fri. 10/31. The website was MGM something or other, I'm sorry I can't remember. Maybe if you did a search you'd find it. No Saturdays because of Spectromagic.

Oops forgot Sun. 10/19!!

You're right, these dates were posted at one time, but that website has since said that the dates were retracted. I, too, have been waiting anxiously for the dates (will only be there for 10/10), but so far...nothing!

unfortunately the dates you mention were posted as "official" on the MGM site and the webmaster there quoted the uk disney site as the official source, but since that time these dates have been "retracted" and no explanation or new dates offered. I don't understand . Maybe they are waiting to look at attendance patterns closer to October until they decide how many nights they will have. It makes it very difficult to plan in advance when to go. We hope to catch a night earlier in the month...

I think I stated in my original post that I didn't know if these dates were "official". I would think they'd have to be close though considering the days of the week that it has been held in the past. I was hoping for the 24th but I guess I'll have to wait. I did talk to CRO yesterday while I was modifying my reservation and she had no dates yet and no idea when tickets would be sold. She said to call back once a month or so until I get the answer I'm looking for.

Gee, I didn't know those dates were retracted.

We were interested in Sunday, October 19. We'll be @ WDW from Oct 18-Oct 24 .... hope they have the party at least once during that time! Never been to it before and it sounds like lots of fun!

I think I read a post saying that last year's "official" dates for MNSSHP came out at the end of April. So I'm hoping it won't be too much longer before we get those official dates! We're looking to go anytime the last week in Oct.
