Planning binder help!

I start out with many notes from here and from those notes I sort by subject and put everything in a 3 ring binder. I have everything from flight to the designers that I use to make my tee shirts. Once everything is there and I am satified with what I have, believe me, it's full, I then just before my trip I take only the important stuff in a 3 prong folder with pockets and I have all things that I will need, all confirmation numbers, the dates that the ressie was made, who I spoke with and the "agenda" for each day. I then carry only 4x6 file cards with the needed info. It hasn't failed me yet and I haven't forgotten anything and I even have a list of hidden Mickey's, special things to be looking for...I still have a while to plan but, my binder is already getting full. Good luck with whatever you decide...you can never take too much to the resort, and remember, keep all ressie numbers and a phone number if you need to call once you are there.

I wanted something small and not heavy to take in my backpack to the parks. I am making a small planbook using a spiral bound pocket calendar. I'm printing out my plans to fit 3X6 size calendar and then using double sided tape to put it in. My calendar was thick enough that I could add a lot of pages, but it is still small and lightweight which I love.

:) I use a single sheet excel spreadsheet, with park hours, parade times, ADR conf # and anything else that is important. My first trip we took the pass porter. If anyone is interested I would be happy to email them a copy.

DH and I also faithfully use the Iphone App for Disney Dining and Wait times.

I use a 3-ring binder for at-home planning/organizing, and then when we are ready to leave, I take all the necessary papers and staple them at the top onto the inside of a standard 2-pocket folder. Then it's light and durable, plus I can add maps, schedules, and paper memorbilia to scrapbook without it getting ruined.

(I am OCD about it too...except it should be CDO so that it's alphabetical) :goodvibes

This is what I do too.

Mine is a 3 ring binder with a velcro close, so nothing can fall out. I then add tabs for: my flight , hotel, car , ADRs, park hours, my daily plans, grocery order, cruise docs, etc. I also have 2 pockets: in these I keep annual passes & passports.

I also make a 3x5 card for each day of the trip to carry in my bag. I put all my important info on it: park plans, ADRs, etc. I set these cards out on the counter every night, My kids love to find them in the morning! Sometimes there are things on it they didn't know about before we left home. ;)

I could not do it with out my binder. :)

We did the same thing. The Passporter was great for planning at home but it was heavier then I wanted lug around with me. Love the single page spreadsheet though, it works great.

Which App do you use? there are so many out there I'm not sure which to choose. Thx!

I have a 3-ring binder with tabs for dining reservations (I put the e-mail confirmation from my ADR) and hotel information (with the e-mail confirmation), and then I have a tab for each park, with a list of what rides we might want to ride, and activities we might want to do, and it also has the park times of the days we're going to be there. I also plan on putting a copy of each park map in their respective tab. The very first page of the binder is our tentative schedule for the week that we're there.

I have a 3 ring binder with tabs for each day in it. I have the ADR's listed with confirmation #'s and park maps for each day in clear protector sheet for each day. I also have two of those pencil pouches with zippers, one in the front and one in the back. One I use to keep receipts in from purchases and meals and the other is for random little pieces of paper that seem to pile up constantly.

What we usually do is put the binder in DH's messenger bag and take out the protective sheet (with the map for the park and ADR's in it) for the day and keep it in hand. If we are hoping on a ride, we just throw the protective sheet in the bag and if we need the binder for something else, it's easy to pull out.

Seems to work for us!

A woman after my own heart :). I usually make little notes here and there (ADR times, reservation numbers, what parks on what day, etc.) in a small notepad that is always next to "My" chair in the living room. By the time the trip comes around, a lot of it is memorized, but the crucial items I transfer into my iPhones "Notes" (sometimes multiple notes). I always have my phone with me in the parks and I have Disney Apps for the maps and other things, so it's the best option for me and I can also easily delete the items as we do them.

I made up single page documents that I printed off.

One for each day of the trip I can fold up and stick in my back pocket.

But on them I included, each "World", what rides we want to, shows, shopping, characters, and ADR # and where we are eating, breakfast, lunch & dinner.

I want to carry as few items with me as possible.

I use an app called "Lines." It's by the people behind Unofficial Guide. I also subscribed to their touringplans website so if you get Lines - you can access all their touring plans, too.
