We are doing a major trip to California for 10 days during President's week 2016, flying in from New York to see the sites and visit relatives. We have decided we will be in the LA/Anaheim area Feb 14-17. Sunday we will be driving in from San Marcos and Wednesday we need to leave by noon ish for Santa Barbara. We will only have two day parkhopper passes. We were originally going to do 3 but have dropped it down to two due to closures and other things to see. (We have been to Disneyland twice and to WDW many times.) We are trying to decide between Sunday and Monday or Monday and Tuesday in the parks. I know the schedule is not posted yet but... We want to do Soarin, fireworks, and WOC as well as many other rides as we can and multiple rides on RSR. The other two days we will go to Holleywood. How bad would it be drive wise to do Holleywood Sunday and Wednesday. Which days will be the best combo in terms of crowds, driving, etc. Thank you

Since Monday is Presidents day and kids are not in school, Sunday will be pretty busy too. Normally, Mondays and Tuesdays are slower in the parks, but you should check the schedule when it comes out to make sure you pick a day when Fireworks and WoC are still showing.

For driving, Sundays are a much better drive to drive from Disneyland to Hollywood than Wednesday. You don't get the extra work traffic. If you drive on Wednesday, if you can leave after 9:30 or 10 you'll skip rush hour.

How long will it take from San Marcos to Hollywood on Sunday leaving at some point in the morning and from Hollywood back to Anaheim?

Also the attractions we are interested in LA are La Brea , El Capitan, walk of fame, Griffith observatory, we studio tour and by Disney studio. We will have roughly a half day Sunday and Wednesday. Which attractions do you recommend driving by on which day.

It will not let me correct but it should be the we studio tour and driving by the Disney studio.

After LA on Wednesday we are going to the Reagan library and Santa Barbara.
