This is my first trip with our DD. She is our Disney baby and caused us to miss WDW during 2004. Now that we're going back with her we are uncertain as to what activities are available for her. We never paid much attention to what was available for kids as we were so distracted with our own selfish fun. :earboy2:

Any comments/suggestions welcomed. :grouphug:

We are in the same boat, going to WDW next week with DD 12 months. Although we didn't miss out on a trip, grwoing up in our houshold makes her a Disney baby.

I guess days of riding Mission Space and RnR mutliple times and back to back are over for now.

Well my sister in law will also be going with her son which is our DD's 1st cousin. They are pretty much inseparable and are 6 weeks apart in age. Our DD is literally our Disney souvenir from our 2003 vacation. :lovestruc :love2: :lovestruc

I'm hoping they have a ride swap as we remember seeing this at IoA.

The height restriction lines do have a baby swap... we used it last year and it worked great. We are leaving in 3 days with our 16 month and when we get back I will post what worked for us and some tips that might be useful... if I come up with any :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: But I know it is going to be great fun... so excited :earboy2: :earboy2: :earboy2:

Raven69David,

My husband and I were in the same boat a couple years back. We'd been going for years, between conferences and our own trips and now we had the kids to enjoy. It was great fun!

Two things from my limited experience (2DSs, 2yo and 5.5yo): make a plan to have some running around time. There are many playgrounds, splashing areas or climbing spots in each park. That way, they don't mind as much when you're pushing them around for a while in the stroller.

Remember to take breaks. Mine were great nappers and would nap in the stroller at home, but with all the activity, we sometimes just left the parks and took them back to the room. If you can't do that, a quiet corner near the parades is fun, or find some of the outdoor entertainment where they can sit and snooze, you can take a break and everyone will feel refreshed.

Other than that, there are many wise and experienced parents on the Families board and you will find lots of suggestions on these topics.

Enjoy your trip! -Skip

Thanks Skip that was great advice. We already have a system as we live in a city with a Six Flags park and Sea World so we've got good practice. However since we only live 2 miles from one of the parks it's too easy to just leave and take her home so she can sleep. :p It's gonna be a little harder at Disney, but thank goodness we'll at least be staying on-park.

Make sure to post back Lulu when you return from your vacation. :goodvibes
