Planning a wedding from the UK

Hi Sophie thanks for the information it really helps!!! Your reception sounds fantastic!!!

We are planning to get married in may 2012 so quite a way off yet and we can't book anything until may this year as virgin don't have any prices yet for that far ahead :-(

I really like the idea of having the reception at planet Hollywood and the prices you mentioned sound great as well, I didn't think it would be so cheap especially for the drinks package!!

Do the wedding planners give you the contact information for all the various places you can hold your reception? Are there many other alternatives? or did you contact planet Hollywood off your own back?

Thanks again for all your help, I don't know what I would have done if I didn't find this forum!!!

Hey, It will come around quickly, I cant believe how the time is flyin for me. I contacted Planet Hollywood myself and when you get your wedding questionnaire from Disney you can put where you have booked your reception. Again Planet Hollywood are sooooo helpful and very quick @ replying. You pay 50% as a deposit then the balance on the night. They dont need final numbers until 3 days before the wedding. Depending what time your wedding is the limo will take you all there too. We have the limo from 3.45-10.45. Our wedding is @ 5pm. The guys get picked up @ 4pm and then limo waits throughout wedding and then will take us all to planet hollywood and then waits and we have paid an extra hour so everyone can get it back to their hotel. Think about what time you would like to get married. We picked later in the day as there is no need for hanging around and we get married, have the toast / cake cutting and then straight off to the reception. Plus we have the whole day to get ready. Dress steamers coming @ 9am and the hair / makeup starting @ 12.30 as they doing 6 of us ;-)

With regards to other reception places I think Disney can help you but having been to Disney 3 times before we didnt fancy an a la carte meal but there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. I think it comes down to what you and your hubby to be would prefer :-)

If you need any other help let me know xx
