For the first time I'm planning for more than just my immediate family. The next trip my sister, her husband and 2 kids will be joining us - I'll be doing most (all) of the planning :thumbsup2

I was able to add my sister (she has a Disney acct) via email and she accepted so I see her under my Friends and Family list. But how do I plan for her kids and husband. They are on HER account but when I view my friends and family I just see my sister, not her family. Do I add them manually under my account since that's where everything will be held?

Thanks in advance as always!

Scott

The husband will need his own account in MDE with his own email. Any child age 13 & above will need their own accounts with their own email.

If they already have their own MDE accounts then you should be able to click Add Guest in your F&F list and see them listed. You will send them an invite and they will need to accept in their own accounts. If the child(ren) is under 13 your sister will manage them and the invite will be in her MDE.

If husband & 13+ children do not have their own accounts the best thing to do is for your sister to delete them from her account under edit and create their MDE accounts sending herself invites. Once she accepts them you will be able to see them under Add Guest and can then send them invites.

Please note that Husband & 13+ children may show up under your Add Guest already, but if it does not say "Husband/Child has a Disney Account" it's not going to work.

I just connected myself to 11 other family members for a trip next summer so have figured out a lot of this through trial & error. Good luck! :thumbsup2

Got the answer from Disney, easy peasy....

If you would like to make plans for your Sister, Brother-in-law and your
Niece and Nephew, you would only need to add a copy of their profiles
from your Sister's My Disney Experience® account.

You can do that by completing the following steps:

1. Go to your Family and Friends list on your My Disney Experience®
account.

2. Select the 'Add a Guest' link under your name on that page.

You would then be taken to a page that will ask you, "How would you like
to add your friend?"

3. Select the first radial on that page that says, "From a list of
people I may know."

You would then be able to see all of the Guests who are managed by other
My Disney Experience® accounts that you are linked to including the
Guests you are looking for.

4. Select the profiles on that page that you would like to make plans
for and select the green 'Done' button.

5. Have the Guest who manages those profiles (your Sister) accept
your invitations to plan and manage for those Guests.

If you do not see their profiles when you get to step 4, you may need to
verify that your My Disney Experience® account and your Sister's are
linked correctly. She may need to check her Family and Friends settings
to make sure that she is allowing her Friends to see her Family and
Friends list. You can check that setting by selecting the 'Change
Settings' link towards the bottom of your (and her) Family and Friends
list.

Just wanted to say that when I tried to do it this way with my Sister and her DH did not have his own account it told her he needed his own and wouldn't properly link to me and gave an error message.
