lol i need to start nagging ryan (dbf) to definitely make his mind up about where he want to go on holiday, he knows i've got my heart set on disney but i blame him for putting the idea in my head lol. i would book it up myself righto now but i don't think my student loan will quite cover it

i've done a bit f pricing up and if we went from the 10th-24th of june booking tickets and hotel with the uk disney site staying at the all star sports resort and then booking flights separately with virgin it comes to £1559 for 2 adults. does this sound like a reasonable price?

That sounds like a really good price I hope you manage to convice your BF he really wants to go to WDW lol

its looking good! we're now just rying to decide the best time, i would be happy to go in june coz i will have just finished my degree and will probably need the holiday but i think he's a bit more keen on going in september. i've priced them both up and they are exactly the same. is there any difference in park opening times between june and september. sorry about all the questions lol

You mentioned Miami in one of your posts...it is possible to do Miami and Orlando in one holiday. We flew into Miami as it was LOADS cheaper and spent 2 nights there before going up to Orlando (was about 3.5 hour's drive) for 12 nights and then back down to Miami for the last 3 nights/4 days. We fell in love with Miami and found it very relaxed and chilled out after the hustle and bustle of Orlando.
Just thought I'd add an option.

I was reading my Unofficial guide last night! I love it!

Way better than any other book I could wish to read!

we'll definitely gain a few extra hours in the parks by going in june but i think dbf is going to take a lot of persuading lol!

You will gain hours in the park in June but September has a lot less queues so the time you have in the parks you get to do just as much if not more. We have been several times in September and have literally walked on rides!!

BTW I spent some of my student loan when I was 19 on a trip to WDW with then DBF (now DH ) but then I never finished my degree

If you have a look here it shows you what events are on during the year... but with shows/fireworks etc I think they stay the same. In Sept depending on when you go you'll catch the halloween stuff so there may be extras on then but in June the star wars weekends are on. We've been looking at similar times for 2010- My bf would love the starwars stuff but I think we've now decided on sept/oct having had to much fun at DLP for halloween.

Halloween at DLP was great fun! But at WDW I have to admit it looks even better I really want to go to mickey's not so scary halloween party.Oh the other thing is the Pirate & Princess Parties but I think there more in May then June.

flights are slightly more expensive but its nothing too drastic

Research as much as you can - use all the boards on here, not just the UK one. Don't do a package - you're unlikely to get a decent deal, unless you work for Virgin, or a travel agent.

At the moment, it seems a lot more reasonable to book onsite stays through Disney UK than the .com site, which hasn't always been the case.

Watch for deals for when you're going. Currently they're doing 14 nights for the price of ten on some places on and off site and you get a 14 night park ticket for the price of 7.

There's lots of info to absorb but it's fun. When I first found this site, many years ago, I didn't really have any intentions of going to WDW. Because Florida had received so much bad press in the media re - British tourists being killed, the idea terrified me. But by the time I'd read a few posts on this site, I became a regular visitor.
