Planning a Birthday in the World

Im looking for ideas on how to celebrate my DS 12th Birthday in WDW on April 23rd. What have you done to celebrate?

Take him to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary. We did this for my lil bro's 12th b-day and he loved it. Plus the food is really great!

I think so but I am not 100% sure as it was 2 years ago. It is a character meal so he will get to meet characters. Talk to some other people who have gone there. I'm really sorry that I can't remember.

How close to your actual birthday does it have to be to be able to truly celebrate it at Disney? I am going in May but leaving 2 days before mine...Would it wrong to celebrate it then?

Be sure to stop at the Town Hall, just to the left as you enter the Magic Kingdom and they will give you a birthday badge/pin. My DD age 12 had her b-day last April, we were just lucky enough to have our spring break fall on her b-day. We then had breakfast with Pooh and Gang at Crystal Palace. Tigger did a birthday dance for her, something she and her parents will never forget.

During the day cast members will notice the pin and wish happy birthday. Made one great day. The train conductor was so funny, he asked my dd if we were her brother and sister as we could not be old enough to have a 12 year old. LOL

We'll be in disney for my sons 5th b-day. I had a special shirt made for him and he will wear it that day. We are having dinner at the Crystal Palace, and will get him a b-day badge. I can't wait I'm so excited. It's also a surprise my son doesn't know we are going to Disney for his birthday.

ktglads-I'd also like to know. We are able to get to WDW once every two or three years. We will be there end of April/beginning of May- We got one on Mar 24, April7 and Jun 10 so we will be there smack in the middle of them all.

I wasnt able to get a ps for Chef Mickeys or Crystal palace But ive got one for 1900 Park, which is ok because we havent eaten there yet but we have been to the other 2, but we really did like CP I was hoping to get it but couldnt.
