Add us to the list of crazies!! We just got back on Saturday from our first family trip to WDW and are planning our return trip next year. Will either be February or April for us - staying at the Wilderness Lodge Villas.

When to the 2008 seasons get posted? We want to avoid peak season.

Let's hear it for 2008!

I am so happy to see I am not alone in my 2008 plannin - I am new to this board and totally overwhelmed with the planning of this magically family vacation... our daughter will be 4 at the time of the trip and it will be my hubbys 1st time and I havent been there since I was 18 (10 years ago) and we are all sooooo excited though I am about ready to burst at the seems trying to make some decsions!!!!!

Well our November of 08 trip has been bumped up to a Grand Gathering and we may have to rethink dates. So glad I have a long time to plan.

Count me in! 2008 will be our Fairytale Wedding Anniversary (5)! Our daughter was born the same day June 28 ! Just can't decide where to stay!!! Going to POP in a few weeks...love deluxe, but dont want to pay deluxe price. Thinking of CSR or CBR...but they have a main pool refurb going on til June. May be too close.... Well we all have plenty of time to change our minds.......

We've booked a Land/Sea for May 2008...we'll be at CBR from 5/11 thru 5/15

It will be our ds (3.5) first trip!
and dh and I haven't been since our Land/Sea honeymoon in 2002! We are SO deprived! lol

I have a trip planned for December 2007, might as well be 2008. I have already booked the trip but it's too early to make reservations at any restaurants, or to make an itinerary that most likely I will not follow, but will make one anyway as an excuse to do anything Disney. DH thinks it's nuts to even talk about a trip that's so far off let alone "research" it. (That is why I am leaving DH home this time) Anyway, have fun researching and planning, it's what keeps me from going crazy counting down. (just a little over 300 days to go)

I am sooooo excited and so is my DD and my DH - though DH told me to plan it ad get it all organized!!!! So I am trying... I have made some headway I think!!! We have less then 14 months

Lauren n Jeff....Just so you know..a Cm told me that the main pool will be closed at CBR from Jan to June of 08! I am not sure if this matters, since you do you have the cruise but that was an option for us, and we are going end of June, may be too close. You never know with refurbishments! The CSR has a great pool also

Yep... of this we are well aware... Granted I found out thru DIS after we booked, but we're not really concerned about it too much because we'll have the village pools... AND we'll be doing a whole lotta swimming once we're on the cruise part of our trip....

What can you do, right? We had a choice between POR, POFQ, and CBR and I've always wanted to stay at CBR.... So I try not to sweat the stuff over which I have no control...it ruins the magic, ya know?

We just did MVMCP in December loved it and we will go back in December 2008 to do it again this time with 3 good friends Seems so far away but thank goodness at my age time flys

How did you with ressies get them already? I went on-line to the Disney website, and it won't let me make a ressie that far in advance.

You are allowed to book room only...499 days out from reservation...they will allow you to change to a package once those rates are released....pretty sure thats the way!

I want to join the gang. I can make my reservations July 24th, (that's 499 days until my trip). I have it marked on my calender. That is when the trip becomes "real" once the reservation is made.

Last time to change our dates, I promise!! DD has been asked to play on the ASA softball team and we don't want her to miss any tournaments. We have been told they will not have a tournament over Memorial weekend so we are planning May 22nd-30th, still staying at BWI concierge, flying in, taking Magic Express. Now we are set!

I know exactly what you mean. We booked last week and my deposit has posted so now it's REAL!

I am planning our trip for the third week in June "2008", if you say it fast enough it doesn't sound that far away. Planning is so much fun, I love it. Right now I am trying to decide on which hotel Contemporary, Poly, or GF. I was on allears.net and saw the Contemporary reburbished rooms and really like them. I am taking my time to decide, but am leaning towards Contemporary . It will be so nice to go when there is no question that it will be warm. I love going in the winter but you take a chance with the weather and I have never been in the summer months. Yeah, let the planning begin....

We are planning for May 2008. Not sure of the exact dates yet.
Resort: AllStarMovies or Pop
Tickets: 4 day parkhoppers (although we will be staying for 6 nights/7 days)
Very excited to start planning. I've never done this before it's our first trip!
I have not been to WDW in 20 years. Gasp...I know. I know.
