We are booked for 12/6/08 to 12/14/08 at WL. I don't know how I'm going to make it!!! It's a surprise for my DS who will be 5 and my DD who will be 6 and turn 7 during our stay in Disney. I might just burst now and I have to wait until 12/08 to tell the kids!!!

Hi, I'm very new to the board and just booked our trip to Disney for Dec. of 08. Anyway, I had a question that some of you may be able to help me with ... We are staying at the WL. When I go through Disney.com to make the reservation the only room with bunkbeds is a courtyard view. We are going the 6th through the 14th of December - the value season and I'm hoping a quieter time for Disney. Anyway, our only choices in room were the Courtyard view or the club level (didn't want to pay that price). My husband even called last night and they said that's all they have available. I went changing dates this AM to see what the price difference was and the first month I could really see a woods view was Sept. I went back and had more choices for Aug. as well. Oct., Nov. and Dec. all just showed the courtyard view. Any chance they hold room since it's just over 16 months away and they just haven't opened them up yet or do you really think they are booked up that far in advance. I plan on checking pretty regularly - I found out it's a $360 savings - that's enough for me to keep checking! Just thought I would see if the wisdom of the board could give me any insight as to why non of these rooms are available 16 months from now. Here I thought I would have my pick planning so far in advance - guess I was wrong! We are still going, I would just like to save more money if I could.

By the way, I did put a request in through DU to see if they could find a better price. Just did it last night so I have not heard back yet. For those that have booked through them, are they as easy to work with as the disney website seems to be?

Thanks for any insight you may be able to provide!
:goodvibes

We're taking a family trip (our 2nd one) w/ my brother and his family (6 cousins in all ages 8, 7, 7, 5, 3, and 2 turning 3 (the only boy)while we're there!) - Arriving June 13th and staying at least until June 20th at Sheraton Vistana..... we may end up staying a few extra days this time... so excited and we already can't wait!!!!:cheer2:

Okay our reservations are done: (unless I change them again!)

January 10-15 - Polynesian

July 21-31 - GF
Juy 31-August 5 - Yacht Club

Add us to the list! We have not officially booked, but our plans are to be in WDW from the Sat before Thanksgiving to the Sat after. We will be celebrating my dd's birthday while there!! We plan to go to our AAA office this week to book. Looking at getting a family suite at ASMO and the dining plan. Probably also a 6 day park hopping ticket.

We are currently booked for Dec 11-18 08, but I'm not sure if that's what we will keep. I keep looking at Sept 08 and thinking if great deals become available then we will change. Oh the planning is overwhelming sometimes. :scared1: I make a plan and change my mind. Make a plan stick to it is hard to do. And as you can tell I do not like waiting until the last minute to plan anything.
But at any rate we are going to WDW in 2008:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Almost our whole family is going (us and in-laws) - so far, our group numbers 11 LOL We can't really book anything yet, as we want to book our flights before we book accommodation and airlines only book about a year ahead, so we have to wait until at least October. Most of the family wants to wait until the spring to book air and accommodation though - more time to save up moolah!

We still can't decide what to do about accommodations though - there are too many choices! At this point, on-site resorts are out because of the prices in comparison to off-site. As for off-site, we could use a local hotel/motel or we could book a 7 bedroom villa. As I said, too many options LOL

Looking forward to chatting with others going next October :surfweb:

Ok, Ok, I changed my plans from Dec 08 to Sept 08. My family keeps laughing :rotfl2: :lmao: at me. They think I'm nuts with all this planning and changing dates. Oh well it keeps me happy and gives me something to look forward too.

As always the DW and I will be heading to WDW in May 2008. We will be going 05/05 through 05/14 and will be staying at Pop Century. I'll be booking the trip in October.

See everyone there. :woohoo:

I just booked for August 08. Staying at the POP on 8/1 with a room only res, then moving to the Beach Club from 8/2 - 8/10. We stayed at the BC in 2005 and loved it, so we're staying there again. I'm going with my twin daughters (12 at time of trip) and my best friend and her son will be joining us on 8/4.
Love WDW!:wizard:
