You know… after all of these trips I’ve taken… I’ve become a very good traveler. I even take my shoes off before I get to the airport…

So I had this part down pat… I’d just curl up in Grammy B’s carry on and stay vewy vewy qwiet… until the coast was clear and they had stopped looking for stowaways. Or they served lunch… which ever came first.

We got through the port, onto the ship and discovered that by then… our stateroom would be ready for us to go to. I led the way to deck 7 to see our 1st class (ok.. just Cat 5) accommodations for the next two weeks!!!

Here’s Grammy B in our Stateroom… You can see me to the left… I’m standing right under the handle holding up the carry on…

We then went off to Topsiders for our very first all you can eat lunch… and did I eat… and eat… and eat…

Soon it was time to go to the lifeboat drill… I was assigned to lifeboat Planky… It was a nice yellow color…I’m thinking of booking that one again next time I cruise… But repainting it a lovely shade of green…

Here I am with Aunt Shell and what Steve (Hi Steve!!!) affectionately calls the big orange toilet seat…

Safety first you know…

I even got to take over and give out the instructions at the drill…

All were present and accounted for and you know what that means?????

PARTY!!!!

I have finally decided that I want to go on the next 15 day panama canel cruise (hopefully next year), however the schedule for 2009 doesn't show a pc cruise. my question for you is... when was your cruise announced? Was it announced with all of the other cruises or later?? I finally got the family to agree to go, and now I don't know if there will even be a cruise

adri, there's hope for some special itinerary in 2010. Those will be announced anytime between early fall and next January.

I don't exactly remember the date the 2008 PC was announced, but booking opened up on Jan 31 (a night that will live in infamy). Several of the rumors for 2010 involve brining the Magic back to the West Coast, so there is hope for another PC crossing.

I would love to do a Panama Crossing and I think my DH would too based on photos that were posted on the last crossing.

However, the timing is so bad for us. The West Bounds are right before school ends and the East Bounds are right after school starts. I wish they could adjust the timing just a little for those of us with school aged children who start the school year so early.

Wendy, your young one would be just the right age in 2010 for a crossing, and it would make a great school project. Several of the grade school kids on ours did special projects about the canal as their assignments. It's a LOT harder taking them out once they hit middle school, but it seemed like the grade school teachers were excited about the children getting to do the cruise.
