I read in another thread that Planet Hollywood in DTD doesn't accept reservations, can anyone confirm this? If so, does this mean they don't accept the dinning plan?

I don't think they're on the dining plan.
I think onlysome at downtown r. there is a list somehwere of all the restaurrant tha tare on the plan.

Don't think they're on the dining plan, but when I called last year to make my ADR's the cast member asked if I had any other ressies I'd like to make. I mentioned we'd be eating in Planet Hollywood our first night and she said she could make those reservations for me. Since Disney also gives you a merchandise voucher and $15 meal credit when you book, I guess there's some sort of deal between the two. Absolutely call Disney Dining and ask them to make you reservation!

i was told they are on the plan but only do ressies on week days week end are walk in only

Planet Hollywood is on the DDP.

Reservations can be made for certain times / days (whether you are on the DDP or not).

We like eating there either a) for lunch or b) an early dinner before it gets crowded. I usually make the ADR for around 4:30 - 5:00, we're seated right away and the restaurant isn't overly packed. By the time we leave around 5:30 - 6:00, there is usually a line waiting.

True. Planet Hollywood does take ADRs usually and is also on the DDP. However, when you receive your $15.00 voucher, it will state on it that it can not be used in conjunction with any other offer, including the Disney Dining Plan. You can not use both at the same time.
