Planet Hollywood Question

Sorry guys, but I am new to the reservation thing at Disney. We usually just eat at CS and the couple times we have eaten at Planet Hollywood, we have just walked up. However, this time we want to eat at a certain time.

Do we call Disney to make the reservation or Planet Hollywood direct?

Sorry for what seems to be a silly question, but I just don't know.

Planet Hollywood doesn't take advanced reservations. It's walk-up only.

Really? Our marching band has reservations at Planet Hollywood at 7:30 one night and we wanted to eat at the same time.

I also thought I read on here that others had made reservations.

Oh well... I guess we will just have to see if we can get lucky enough to get in that night.

Actually I just made reservations for dinner at Planet Hollywood - perhaps you are thinking of ESPN?

We made reservations for Planet Hollywood last week as well. We did them through Disney Dining.

That would be us too at MK! We must be going to support the same band. LOL. Isn't it funny how many people use disboards?

No. We would be the other band going with them I believe.

Even if you make an ADR, don't count on eating at a certain time. We had ADRs for 6:30 last time we went and didn't get seated until at least 7 pm. It was gone 9 by the time we finished.

I have been consistently underwhelmed each of the two times I have eaten at PH. Food and drinks were wrong both times, food was cold, remakes of food were cold as well. Plus they charged us wrong.

I'm not a picky diner, but PH was plain awful. Bad Service, Bad Food.

We didn't want to chaperone so i decided to take my two other kids out of school Which their school was great about because we just went on a crusie a couple months ago . Are you going going as a chaperone or flying? We got good airfare out of cvg for 165.00 so we are leaving the 1st. maybe we will run into each other. I will have my lime green mickey heads attached to my stuff.

Thanks to all. I was able to call Disney Dining and make reservations with no problem.

Boy! I am getting so excited. We are leaving in just 5 days!!

They stopped making PS last year just for the busy summer months. I've been 3 times, and have loved their food! The only problem I have is the noise level, but that's part of the atmosphere. Perfect for teens!

I'm interested in taking my college-age son to see Planet Hollywood also (he's a big movie fan). I've heard that they have a lot of movie memorabilia spread around the restaurant. Does anyone know whether you're allowed to walk and look around the place before / after eating?

What if you are not eating there and only visiting the gift shop (I assume they have a gift shop like Hard Rock)?

Yes you can walk around and look at stuff. That was the only highlight for us. There is a gift shop as well.
