Planet Hollywood at DTD???

PH is on the DDP. We ate there (actually on both of our last two trips). While the atmosphere can tend to be loud and rowdy, the food seems to be good. The first time we ate there (in 2005) I remember getting a burger, it wasn't bad. In April I think I got steak and thought that too was pretty good. We probably will have it on our list when we go back next October. This past trip, we went on a very busy night, and had a relatively late dinner (I think after 10 pm).....I think our server was run ragged from the dinner crowd, so he wasn't as attentative as he could have been. But all in all it wasn't a bad experience. If you want bad service (and food even worse) look no further than Mama Melroses.

OH THANK YOU GUYS for the positives!! I was honestly sick last night thinking about it, taking 14 people to a crappy restaurant. LOL!! I think we'll stick with it, give it a try and definately come back and tell you all how it was! One week from right now we'll be eating there!

We love the cpt crunch chicken too! I thought it would be kind of sickening, but it is addicting! I think your going to have a great time Nebraskamom...hope you enjoy your trip! :)

We ate there... DD5 DD8 DS16 DH and myself. LOVED IT! This was one of our favorite restaurants. We had the steak... it was good as were the appetizers and desserts. Kids loved looking at the memorabilia....

We ate there this September and it was delicious! Hubby got some huge burger, son and I got the steak fahitas (sp.). The fahitas were yummy! It has an awesome decor and the food was excellent. It is a little pricey, but we thought it was worth it. We plan on going back during our 2008 trip to WDW!:thumbsup2

"5. The only reason we're going is because they're giving us a $15 voucher with our package and we'll have used up our DDP credits by then."

Same here. We had to get a package because we aren't staying at a DVC and wanted the DDP. We got several vouchers that we probably won't use, but, we are edging into PH on our first day when we don't have plans other than the HDDR.

we only ate there once (so I guess that says something about them) the food left much to be desired and that was after waiting for almost 2 hours to get it and there were only 2 of us:confused3

Lucky you! Have fun and don't worry. We'll be looking forward to your own review when you return. :)

I have eaten here 4 times in the past 12 years, however the last time was a while back (2004). We always enjoyed our meals here. I found the LA Lasagna to be delicious.

While I prefer Rainforest Cafe, we always go to PH once as tradition. The LA Lasagne is very good. Cool atmosphere. problem is, they stuff you in like sardines and the waitstaff is usually pretty crappy.

Anyone eaten there? I just got reservations for 14 of us for next Thursday and would love to know what's good to order!!!!! I'm excited and would love to know the best foods to order. Thanks guys!!:cool1:

Get the buger slides for an appetizer and the LA Lasagna (deep fried lasagna) for a main course. Both were excellent. Also very good is the Cap N Crunch Chicken.

And while I'm at it, what about the buffets at Hollywood and Dine?? We're doing a breakfast buffet with the kids as well as an evening buffet. Ideas??

My DS and I had lunch at Hollywood and Dine in August with the Playhouse Disney characters. He absolutely LOVED it. The interaction with the characters was fantastic and he liked that he could actually get up and dance instead of sitting and waiting for the characters like at the other buffets. I loved it because of the look on his face throughout the meal and because IMO it was the best lunch buffet.

If you are looking for a character breakfast buffet, my favorite is Crystal Place in MK with the Pooh characters.
