I just wanted to share my recent seat mix-up story. I was flying NWA round trip from Lansing, Michigan to Minneapolis with my mom and my 6 year old DD a couple of weeks ago. I was never able to get seat assignments when I booked on their website and called several times after booking to try to get assignments -- to no avail. On the way to Minneapolis, they had us seated together, so I thought everything was fine. Well, imagine my surprise when, on the way back, we were all over the plane. The man at the baggage check was not helpful except to say I needed to talk with the gate agent. My DD was all upset and crying because she was afraid she wouldn't be able to sit with me -- even though I told her it would all work out somehow.
Fortunately, we were there plenty early and I talked to the gate agent right away. I was polite and clear in describing the problem. She was kind and clear in putting us all in first class! Too bad it's only an hour flight. So, Mermaid 96, maybe you'll have great luck, too.
