Plane crashes into building in Austin

I heard, apparently, that the IRS wanted to take his house and plane. So he burnt down his house, (apparently a local IRS office), and planned on wrecking the plane by flying it into the FBI building.

Glad nobody got hurt.

I just don't undersatnd how this Stack guy could STEAL a PLANE. And how bad off is your life that you have to take yourself out and try to take people with you???

How can they think there is no terrorist bend to this story??

There is a larger IRS office in south Austin, but it isn't as tall. The whole thing is just awful.

Watching the same as you. Kinda interesting that the house went up at 9:15 and a plane flew out at 9:40.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they're on to something here. Too many coincidences for it NOT to be him, KWIM? What I heard is that he did fly his own plane out of Georgetown this morning but didn't file a flight plan.

I forget the exact wording, but he didn't have to file a flight plan because it is a clear day. Local news isn't saying he stole a plane. I don't know what any national news is reporting.

CNN is reporting that the man that crashed this plane, set his own home on fire and then went to a local airport and stole a small plane and intentionally flew it into this building. They are saying it is not terrorism.

I guess that depends on your definition of terrorism. I think intentionally flying a plane into a building where hundreds or thousands of people could die is terrorism. Esp. since it sounds like he WAS going for the FBI building. Just cause it isn't the Taliban or another known terrorist group doesn't make it not a terrotist act.

I wonder what his wife and child did to him. If he was getting back at the IRS I would think he would make sure the house was empty. The whole thing is bizarre. Never will figure out the mind of a crazy person.

Local news is saying they think the plane hit the first floor.

They are now saying the impact was the second floor of this 7 story building. Crazy low.
